Review Summary

Reviews of Pizzéria Grande Allée present a mixed picture: some diners hail the pizza as possibly the best on the south shore, praising a perfectly cooked crust, balanced flavors, and fresh ingredients, while others point to a decline in quality after price hikes and the removal of a percentage discount, making the value seem less favorable than nearby options. Concerns about sanitation are raised in an incident where a pizza with the wrong toppings was delivered, a replacement was promised without apology, and the old pizza was asked to be returned, which left some customers unsettled. Service and atmosphere are described as friendly and welcoming in many accounts, with positive notes on ambiance and cleanliness, but some experiences mention slow service and meals arriving cold. Opinions on menu items vary, with some praising the specialty dishes and a strong classic pizza, while others find the poutine pizza disappointing and certain items like pasta or breakfast offerings not always meeting expectations. Overall, Pizzéria Grande Allée remains a popular choice for pizza, but consistency and pricing remain concerns for potential return visits.

Très bonne poutine & portion généreuse.

I was disappointed by their Poutine Pizza. For some reason, I thought it would be something completely new & fun to try but it ended up being a pizza with a side of poutine. I really don't know what I was expecting. The pizza itself was nice. I enjoyed the large amount of toppings & the thicker slices. The poutine on the other hand was a bit too soggy for me so it wasn't my favourite. Delivery is a factor for this so I would love to try their poutine in person one day. Although the spaghetti was a bit overcooked in my opinion, I really enjoyed the flavours of the sauce. There was a nice & balanced level of sweetness in their sauce which made the spaghetti so much more enjoyable. In terms of price, I feel like it's a bit more expensive than some other places that offer similar items & the portions are reasonable as well.

Got the escargot & steak & onion poutine. Hands down best poutine I've had since coming to Quebec. Fries stay crispy in the sauce, & the portion size is excellent. $21 after tax & it can easily feed two people. Staff are polite, place is a clean, diner style venue. Very cute & family oriented. The escargot was nothing particularly special but was fine if a bit overcooked. Definitely coming again for the poutine though, twice now its been excellent.
