We found this little gem through reviews & decided to give it a shot for our poutine needs &... BONUS! There was also pizza!
When we rolled up, it's a cute, little, unassuming place but the roof deck offered some nice distance views of the lake. The quiet neighborhood makes a great, relaxing environment.
We meet Milenko immediately & once he knew we were interested in poutine he asked us to hold on & disappeared into the kitchen to return with a spoon & some sauce for us to try. As we tested, he informed us that he makes a BBQ sauce version for the poutine &, while I was skeptical as someone not wild about BBQ, his sauce was quite tasty so we ordered a half-&-half poutine with the BBQ & traditional. We also ordered a small pepperoni & cheese pizza.
The poutine landed quickly (after he had us confirm that we liked the cook level of our fries!) & that traditional poutine was OFF THE CHARTS! Great, rich sauce with good flavor balance without being salty. The BBQ was different & tasty for sure but, ultimately for us, that traditional won out.
It was iffy at best that we had space in our bellies left for pizza but we gave it a go. The sauce was unique & tasty. The layering of the elements on the pizza was great, excellent crust, & the cook was perfect. Generally we thought our choice was only'okay' but I think that may have been us being full. I would definitely personally try a straight up cheese pizza if/when I get to visit again (because I'm the one less in love with pepperoni in our pair.)
The food is great. Milenko was even better. Give this a shot if you're in the area & looking for a low key but good quality good experience.View more
