About

Pizza Mia serves a focused menu centered on artisanal pizza, fresh salads, and traditional pasta dishes. The kitchen prioritizes high-quality dough prepared daily, resulting in a thin and crisp crust that supports various savory toppings. Fresh ingredients define the salad selection, featuring crisp greens and vibrant vegetables paired with house-made dressings. The pasta offerings emphasize classic techniques, utilizing properly cooked noodles tossed in rich sauces that highlight authentic Italian flavors. A casual atmosphere permeates the dining area, where functionality and speed define the service model for patrons. This establishment maintains a consistent culinary approach by avoiding unnecessary complexity in favor of reliable, flavor-forward preparations. Every dish reflects a commitment to core Italian staples while ensuring that each component serves a clear purpose in the final presentation of the meal.

Review Summary

Pizza Mia receives mixed feedback regarding its offerings and operations. While many customers praise the pizza for its delicious, fresh ingredients, flavorful sauce, and variety of vegetarian options, others express disappointment with the perceived decline in quality and freshness. Experiences with the service are inconsistent, ranging from very friendly and efficient to rude and unprofessional. Furthermore, significant concerns have been raised about the pricing, with some patrons feeling that the cost is too high for the portion sizes provided and that billing practices can be misleading. Despite these operational and value criticisms, many visitors still consider it a solid, convenient spot for a quick bite at the Marché Atwater.

The pizza was mid, the service was terrible. They kept telling me there was a wait cheese slices, even though people behind me were getting slices.

Very good place. We went for a vegetarian pan pizza & a three cheese empanada. Loved them both.
There's some seating space (high chairs) inside & a couple of tables outside. The staff was nice & friendly. The place is on the outer perimeter of the Marche Atwater building with vegetables sellers on the other side of the passage.
Definitely recommended.

This is a place worthy of going out of your way just to eat their food! What an opening line right? But it's true. I have had difficulty finding decent pizza restaurants serving quality ingredients, where you can actually see & taste the sauce, where the cheese is plentiful, & the toppings are delicious & plentiful as well as a crust you want to save for last. Well, Pizza Mia hits the spot. The place is quite busy on weekends when I went, & the line was long but it went by quickly as they really know how to move people around. Their food is displayed beautifully & in a way that prevents customer contamination as it's well covered yet you can see it - it actually reminded me of the type one can see in Italy with all the large portioned items like sandwiches, arancini, calzone, & so much more. I'm typically not a veggie pizza perso.n but I tried both of their varieties & was amazed at how fantastic it was, especially the one with the onions & tomatoes with zucchini & much more. Their slices are a very good size & hefty. Their arancini (Italian rice balls stuffed with cheese & deep fried) with a most delicious tomato sauce. Both the regular cheese as well as the ricotta & spinach were excellent & plentiful - a must to eat. So, two slices of pizza, two arancini, & one Brio side cake to $21.95, add the tax & your up to $25.25. Pre covid this would have been a slight less expensive I think - however in this marketplace I believe this is very good value given that the food is of such a high quality in every aspect. The atmosphere is actually cool for a market & makes it fun to watch all the people pass by, or go down the stairs near the cash register & there are some larger tables with more privacy. My hat is off to these restauranteurs for providing product & price to create good value to the point you yearn for more.

If you go when it's busy & the pizza is fresh it's delicious & you can understand why the line is so long. Probably best slice of cheese pizza I remember buying lately
