Review Summary

Pinnacle Wagyu receives significant praise for its high-quality steak, flavorful meat, and standout truffle fries, with many patrons calling their cheesesteak and steak frites some of the best in Montreal. Visitors often appreciate the friendly service and the cozy, convenient location in the Old Port, frequently highlighting the juicy, tender preparation of the beef. While the majority of guests are satisfied with the value and taste, some reviews mention inconsistencies regarding portion sizes, long wait times, limited seating space, or preferences for different levels of meat doneness. Despite mixed opinions on pricing and minor logistical complaints, the general consensus describes the restaurant as a must-visit spot for gourmet sandwiches and quality deli food.

Loved the steak sandwich. So flavourful & nicely toasted bread. If you're looking for something quick & good in Old Montreal this is the place! Had it as a late night snack. Would definitely come again.

A must-visit for anyone who loves a gourmet sandwich done right at very affordable prices. Retro-vibe decor & friendly staff make you feel welcome.

Their Wagyu steaks are seriously high quality, juicy, flavourful, & cooked just right (that char is perfection!). I had the Pinnacle Cheesesteak, the Wagyu on the Road with truffle/parmesan fries, & both were outstanding. MUST is the Animal-Style poutine, it's extremely addictive or as the hubby call it (it's crack 😂)
The lemonades were super refreshing, exactly what you need after a hearty sandwich.

The service is spot on, attentive, kind, & fast! Portion sizes are generous & every bite felt worth it.

Overall, this place delivers: flavour, quality, & atmosphere all in one. I'll definitely be back next time I'm craving a really good sandwich in Vieux-Montréal.

This was hands down, the best steak sandwich I have ever eaten! At this price point, an amazing bang for your buck. The pinnacle loaded fries were as expected, amazingly decadent!

I am already looking forward to having this again!

Don't fall for the Instagram hype. It's just another Old Port tourist trap. Nowhere near the type of quality you'd expect.

The food is good, & I appreciate that although it is self-service, the staff bring the food to the table. However, there are some areas that could be improved. The ketchup portions are very small, & only one napkin is provided with the meal. It would be more intuitive & customer-friendly to offer additional condiments & napkins without having to ask.

Another point is that the tip calculation at the point of sale includes tax, which is not in line with Bill 72.

If these details were addressed, I would gladly give this restaurant five stars.

We ordered the Parmageddon chicken sandwich & the Pinnacle Wagyu cheesesteak to go.

The Parmageddon wasn't bad, the chicken was decent & the flavors were there, but it seriously lacked sauce, which made it feel a bit dry. With more sauce, it could have been much better.

The Pinnacle Wagyu cheesesteak, on the other hand, was disappointing. The meat had no flavor, some parts were burnt, others chewy, & there was no sauce at all. The bread was the only good part.

For the price, the quality just wasn't there. On the positive side, the person at the front desk was very nice & welcoming, & the décor inside the place looks great. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations.
