Really wanted to like this place since heard great things about it & it looks so cute inside. Started with 3 different servers asking about drinks we already ordered (none of them gave their names). They changed my café glacé to an iced latte because I asked for milk & sugar, didn't love it but went with it because whatever im not gonna complain for the 2$ difference, even though they aren't the same thing. My brother ordered an espresso that didn't come with the other drinks, then took 40 minutes to come when we followed up. Our food only arrived well over an hour & a half later & never got my extra berries they tried to still charge me for. The food wasn't bad but at that point I was just really disappointed & over it.
The positives : the menu is interesting, the prices are correct, my schnitzel sandwich was absolutely delicious.
The negatives : the service - very, very bad. 20 minutes for a second glass of wine, by which time I'd finished my meal. My husband asked for the dessert menu, was told the selection was there (gesturing to a small display), he barely utters the word'scone' & the waitress was off, without bothering to ask me if I wanted anything. Same thing with the coffee.
To be fair, I am a big girl, & I can use my words to ask for a dessert or a coffee, but I shouldn't have too. I will also say that when I finally got my glass of wine, & commented on the delay, & my husband asked for a second beer so long as it didn't take 20 minutes. He was served immediately. He was also not charged, for the drink that he didn't have to wait for.........
The food is lovely, the decor is very nice, the location is spot on, but guys, get your act together with the service. I have never seen so many employees running around doing nothing.
Very disappointing service. The waitress greeted us & took our order, but even though the café was almost completely empty, it took around 20 minutes just to bring our juices.
What made the experience worse was that about a minute after serving our drinks, while we had barely started, she came over with the bill & asked us to pay immediately. Because of the poor service, we decided not to leave a tip. She then started complaining & making unpleasant comments about not receiving a tip, which made the whole situation even more uncomfortable.
The café was not busy at all, so there was no obvious reason for the long wait or for rushing us to pay. Unfortunately, the waitress's attitude was unprofessional & made what should have been a simple café visit a very unpleasant experience.
That said, the quality & taste of the drinks were actually very good. The main problem was the service & the way we were treated.
