Opened in 1971 by Giuseppe Lenti, Piazza Romana was originally a very small restaurant. It had seating for only 32 people and was run by Giuseppe Lenti, who was later joined by his brother-in-law, Sestino Odari. In 1988 Sestino's wife, Maria, took over the reins. In less than five years, Piazza Romana has the best restaurant for fine Italian cuisine. In fact, The Gazette's Helen Rochester ranked it among the top 20 restaurants. While Piazza Romana is no longer a little country restaurant, the Odoardi family continues to offer the warm ambiance so typical of the traditional Italian manner.

Hands down the best pizza on the whole island of Montreal !! The shrimp pizza never disappoints. Love taking leftovers home & eating them for the next free days. I've been going for years & I'll never stop!

Les saveurs sont exquises, avec des pâtes fraîches parfaitement cuites & des pizzas croustillantes. L'atmosphère chaleureuse & l'accueil convivial du personnel ajoutent à l'expérience. C'est un lieu idéal pour des repas mémorables.
Wow quel beau petit restaurant italien 🤗 la nourriture était très bonne mais mes pâtes carbonnara un peu trop huileuse. Mais le goût y était. Le service était très bien, le propriétaire nous a servi en français même si il est plus qu'anglophone. Je vous recommande ce restaurant sans hésiter, pour passer un moment de couple agréable & relaxant.

everything except the table hôte was very mid, staff was not very present.... didn't refill our water or bring us a dessert menu. service didn't really match the amount we paid
Le serveur un gros zéro le service aussi & mon assiette je crois qu'ils ont échappé la salière dedans beaucoup trop salé en plus des frites commerciales pas très bon trop chère pour le tout jamais j'y retournerai.

Piazza Romana is the most welcoming home style true Italian food & service & the restaurant is run by the most lovely family. Lovely ambiance, happy & long standing servers who take their craft seriously.. & the food.. what can I say at least as good as Nonna's!
I have been a customer for 25 years & will continue to be for at least another 25!

Tout est excellent ,les pâtes al denté & les sauces savoureuses . L'accueil de Maria est chaleureux & le service est super . Nous y allons régulièrement & l'avons fait découvrir à plusieurs amis , mon fils dit que jusqu'à maintenant c'est le meilleur veau parmigiana qu'il a mangé C'est dorénavant notre restaurant pour le souper du nouvel an avec toute la famille. Un merci spécial à Tony le serveur ,il est toujours attentif
The service is very slow. The food is not on par with other restaurants of that type. The wine list looks pretty good however half litre house wine is not available, you have to order by the glass which of course ups the price. The best part of the meal for me was the bread, so really I cannot give this place more than one star.
I will agree with this comment, but one thing was omitted in this was the rudeness and low class people that serves you. I my opnion why people go there is the location. Not upscale and neither is the staff. I have said it all, hope to you to risk it.
From the minute we walked in, the greeting & attention was amazing. The ambiance was warm & comfortable.The service was incredible, even the young man filling our water glasses. When I requested some hot water, he immediately went to get it & returned promptly. The food was beyond delicious, beautiful presentation, nice sized portions, & seasoned to perfection! We definitely will be back & we highly recommend this restaurant.
I had reserved for 25 people for my wife's 40th birthday, & as a first time client,: very impressed! The orders were taken ahead of time out of courtesy so as to not affect both us & other clients, the food (appetizers + main meal) was delivered in a well synchronized, timely fashion. They were even able to accommodate 4 later joiners with the main meal. The service was excellent, the food & drinks were good (people asked if I had organised the place because I knew it & was a successful try at a new place nearby). Good communication & organisation with the head waiter- was able to organise the details of the night as it went by. Waiters & waitresses very courteous, & will be back.
