Reviews for Phở Thành Nam Quan
10/10 best soup, consistent, quick, highly recommend. Its the best part of my week. I dream of this soup. N.5 & N.6 is the way to go
This pho restaurant is well hidden but has 1 of the best pho I've had in all of Montreal. I ordered a extra large Pho Dac Biet, while the bowl was not the biggest I've seen, it is very well filled with plenty of noodles & generous amount of meats. The broth was very delicious & they had a variety of condiments that other pho restuarants does not offer. For example pickled garlic, pickled veggies, fish sauce, & home made chili oil in addition of the standard offering of hoisin sauce & siracha. Sides of bean sprouts, basil & lime were also very fresh looking & not a single bruise on any of the basil. My only comment is that I found the noodles a tiny bit soft & they could have made a better effort keeping the noodles long because my bowl was filled with broken bits of noodles. The ratio of soup to noodles is heavier on the noodles side but very filling. As a pho lover this place definitively left a good impression because the taste & quality of pho was exceptional. Definitively will return.
AMAZING FOOD. Very authentic & delicious with great prices. Staff is friendly & welcoming
Came here with my buddy for a quick bite & thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Best pho in the city. Highly recommend!
A friend introduced me to this place, saying his mom comes here often & that it's perfect for cold winter days. Honestly, he wasn't wrong at all, this place really hit the spot for me.
From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm & comforting, almost like a cozy neighborhood spot you'd want to come back to regularly. I ordered the Bún bò Hu?, & while it wasn't as spicy as I expected, the flavor was still really satisfying. It had that comforting, hearty quality that makes you feel instantly better, especially on a cold day. I just added a bit more sriracha, & that did the trick perfectly.
The noodles were cooked well & had a good texture not too soft, not too firm. The broth was flavorful & comforting without being too heavy. The meat portion was decent & balanced well with the noodles & broth, which I appreciated. Everything came together nicely, & nothing felt lacking.
One small detail I really liked was the tea being served in a simple water glass. It added to the homey, down-to-earth vibe of the place & made the experience feel more personal & relaxed rather than overly fancy.
Overall, this spot definitely delivered. The food was comforting, satisfying, & exactly what I needed. I'd absolutely come back again, especially during the winter months.
