We passed in front of this restaurant quite a few times as we live nearby. we were looking for something different to eat so we decided to give it a try. Actually Lia had already been with some colleagues from her previous employment. The interior decor is quite simple, the menu heavily favours combo options . We decided to go with the crispy chicken & rice as well as the pho. Service was OK. We kind of wish that we felt more welcome. Accessing the restaurant by foot is quite easy. Parking is a different story. if you're lucky you may find street parking on Saint Catherine St. otherwise there are a few parking lots available in the area.
Bonne expérience au Pho Thanh Long. Le service est très rapide, courtois & discret. Le thé est servi gratuitement. Les portions sont généreuses & les prix sont raisonnables. Plusieurs options végétariennes!
I went last night with 3 other people. Only the vegetarian person got food poisoning (staphylococcus) it kicked in for them on the walk to the bar. They were extremely ill. The kitchen failed to properly clean/sanitize their utensils or cooking area. Causing the vegetarian person in the group to be the only sick one out of us 4. Service was fast & polite Everyone at the table enjoyed the food. It did taste good. Minus the staphylococcus
I was highly impressed with the quality of the food. The vietnamese pork chop with white rice was pretty good. The runny fried egg really adds this authentic feel to it. The fried banana was just ok. The service was a little bit slow as the place was packed with customers going in & out at a good pace.

The staff was friendly & the service was fast. Our soup arrive fresh & hot. It's a family restaurant, very original Vietnamese pho restaurant. Our orders come with free hot tea. There's only street parking. They accept cash & credit.
Unfortunately, it's a very mediocre restaurant, although everyone told me that you couldn't find a better Pho in the city... It's possible. The atmosphere is present, authentic, that's probably all, overrated
Les rouleaux impériaux étaient bons. Les rouleaux de printemps n'étaient vraiment pas frais, avec une mauvaise odeur & secs! Je les ai jettés. La soupe Tonkinoise au boeuf était correcte, mais loin d'être la meilleure!

I ordered the chicken & shrimp rice rolls. They were delicious, especially with the accompanying peanut butter sauce.
I also ordered pho ga (chicken pho) but I was surprised that the chicken was fried chicken that was cut into pieces. My experience with chicken pho from the many pho restaurants I've been to in different cities in the US & Europe that the chicken comes in thin slices & boiled rather than fried. I also didn't expect the soup to have vegetables like carrots, cauliflower, & broccoli. Although I think it was healthy to have them, but again this was unlike the previous similar dishes I had in other Vietnamese restaurants. Also, the broth was kinda bland. I had to add soy sauce to make it a bit flavorful.
The prices were okay.
