A quaint spot on Sainte Catherine. A bit gritty, ok for a quick meal if you crave a bowl of pho, not the most memorable, just a one off. The portion is slightly smaller than average pho bowls but prices are less, accordingly. The menu has lots of other dishes including dessert. Good location, convenient for patrons staying at one of many hotels one street over on Rene Levesque. Like most food places in Montreal it only opens at 11am onwards. No breakfast hours.
Vermicelles étaient très secs, le beignet au banane (je n'ai pas pris de photo) semblait être du réchauffé. La panure était très épaisse & la banane semblait moisie à l'intérieur. Nous avons été très déçus considérant les bonnes critiques. Point positif, le service est très rapide.
Ce restaurant est un classique sur la Ste-Catherine! J'adore y aller avant un événement ou spectacle dans le secteur. Les combos sont délicieux tout comme leurs soupes pho. Le service est rapide, courtois & les prix très compétitifs.
The best Pho soups I've ever had, & I've tried many because I love them. Served very quickly, with plenty of meat, flavorful broth, & fresh greens, perfectly balanced to provide absolute satisfaction. The staff is extremely friendly & welcoming, adding to the feeling that you're enjoying real home-cooked food!
Our original dinner spot was full, & out of convenience we tried here. The food was delicious & came really fast. We had tea, beef pho, chicken skewers, & fried banana dessert. Service was kind of robotic but that's fine. The cleanliness & style is what's expected for the area, they really need a renovation, or at least a kick pull on the bathroom door. Over all it was a satisfying experience.
I've been coming here ever since I can remember, & still make it a habit now that I'm an adult. I might live elsewhere now, but if I can stop by whenever I'm in Montréal, I do. The food, especially the pho, is always consistently delicious & the best pho I've ever had. I've tried many other places in Toronto, Ottawa/Gatineau, & Québec City, & nothing touches this place. I hope to come back here for many years to come! For those with peanut/nut allergies, they do have a peanut sauce on the menu. However, if you stick away from the spring rolls that are served with the peanut sauce, you're good. My partner & I are able to be accommodated for it very easily.
