Skip the line at the bagels & gnocchi & come to this fairmount gem instead. The cheddar potato perogies have the smoothest most delicious filling, almost like a puree at Montreal's best fine dining restaurant. 10 stars. Limited seating, but too good for that to matter.View more

The cucumber cabbage salad is sooo good. The meat perogies have liver in them, which is great if you're into that. My favourite are the cherry ones :)View more
These pierogies are as close to the ones my mom used to makeView more

Stopped by for lunch the other day. Upon entering, we were impressed by the cleanliness & delicious scents of something yummy being cooked in the kitchen. We were greeted by 2 very friendly & helpful ladies who explained the choices available. I had the meat filled & my sweetie had the potato cheese. Both came covered in caramelized onions & sour cream. Yumm. The fireweed tea is not to be overlooked, the perfect accompaniment. & it would be a shame to not try the sour cherry perogies, oh my!
It's definitely worth the trip & we are looking forward to another visit.

Delicious perogies, using the family recipes of Grandma Lili, a Ukrainian who emigrated to Montreal in the 1950s. Well worth a visit if you are in Montreal! I had ones stuffed with cabbage & topped with wild mushrooms - terrific!View more
I visited Ukraine Restoran Perogie Lili with friends & was pleasantly surprised by the warm atmosphere & the incredible quality of the food. It immediately reminded me of how my mom used to cook-the smell, the taste, everything felt so authentic.
The borsch was rich & flavorful, & the Carpathian tea added a perfect cozy touch. I tried the perogies with potato & cheese, & they were soft, perfectly cooked, & full of taste. I also tried the meat ones-absolutely delicious. The chef really knows what they're doing.
This place offers a true homemade Ukrainian taste. Easily the best I've had so far. Highly recommend!View more
