I've been going to Pendeli's Pizza for years, & the biggest thing that keeps me coming back is the consistency. I've had many good experiences here over the years, & that says a lot.
We recently ordered an extra-large all-dressed pizza & a poutine for $36, which I think is a very fair price in today's economy & quite competitive for takeout.
The pizza was excellent. Thin, well-done crust with the pepperoni baked right on top, giving it a nice crispy texture. It was flavourful &, compared with many other takeout & delivery options, I'd consider it top-tier.
The owner is always friendly, welcoming, & provides timely service. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy, but it's clean & has the typical casual pizza-shop atmosphere.
I'm giving 4/5 because I reserve that fifth star for something truly exceptional & unique. But for consistently good pizza, fair prices, & friendly service, Pendeli's is definitely a place I'm happy to keep coming back to.
Went for lunch with my brother, short waiting time (? 5 min). I'd recommend call in to order in advance to make the waiting time even shorter. The guy there was great, served us with a smile & even offered water. Pizza was one of the best I've had in a while, especially compared to Galaxy Pizza wich just serves pre-cooked pizza instead of handmade pizza like Pendeli's does. He also gave us two lollypops (delicious btw). The restaurant gives a'by the sea' vibe wich I loved. I would absolutely recommend eating there.👌🏻
Pendeli's been around for a long time. I've eaten there a long time ago it was great (always did take out) never eaten inside. didn't feel like a place where I wanted to stay to have a meal. but forget that - I went back this time for the memory of the pizza. What it was then & what it is now (to me) has changed. the taste is no longer the same , the crust is thin & has no air (if you know what I mean) & the taste was unfortunately not the same, I was a little disappointed. Remember this is my opinion, but this may be what other people like, its just not my flavor anymore. I wish Pendeli the greatest future & the best to the guys in there, the cooks seem like fun guys.
one of the best pizzas with REAL ingredients around unlike other crappy so called pizzerias. & this is coming from an italian. Oh yeah & great pricing. Only negative is atmosphere but this place is place is primarly for takeout not dine-in .
Extremely disappointing experience. The server was polite but everything else fell completely flat.
I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce & watched the cook microwave the sauce straight out of a cup. Ouf. Then came the pizza. The dough was taken out, opened in front of me, & put directly into the oven to heat up before any sauce or toppings were added. Nothing about it felt fresh.
We stopped in for a quick takeout but the dining area looked like it had been converted into a makeshift office. Dirty, dated, & cluttered. There was a single Superman figurine that looked weird & out of place, & with the Superman symbol on the restaurant's logo, there was definitely nothing'super' about this spot. The whole place felt more like a comic book store than a pizzeria.
