Oasis Moyen-Oriental où il fait bon prendre le temps de savourer une pâtisserie dans un décor dépaysant. Stationnement disponible à l'arrière.
Every time I go I'm not deceived, haleiwit il jibn is amazing. Knefeh is excellent & the one like ossmalliyeh is amazing too ...... I still need to try their ashta Ica cream ....i love their pastries
Wow I love this place so much!
They have the best pastries here. Service is amazing & they really value you as a customers. The free samples are sooo yummy 😋 Roxanna was very nice serving us!
Mahrouseh is truly a gem. From the moment you step inside, you are transported to another time & place. The oriental décor is absolutely mind-blowing-filled with beautiful antique pieces that instantly remind you of an old Damascene house, complete with a charming fountain in the middle. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit.
As for the desserts, the selection is outstanding. They offer a wide variety of traditional Arabic/Eastern desserts as well as Western options, all prepared with exceptional quality & care. The taste is simply amazing. I ordered Halawet El Jibn, a very traditional Syrian dessert made from semolina, cheese, blossom water, & syrup topped with crushed pistachios-& it was perfection. They also serve Kunafeh & many, many other delicious desserts that are hard to resist.
The staff are incredibly friendly & welcoming, which adds even more to the experience. I even asked why they don't open a new branch in BC, & the answer truly impressed me. They explained that maintaining the highest quality is their top priority, & they refuse to compromise by sending their chefs elsewhere-even though they receive requests to open branches in many major cities across the USA & Canada.
That level of dedication says everything. I'm very pleased to have visited Mahrouseh, & it's a place I would happily return to again & again. Highly recommended!
(Almost perfect. Kaake blinked & disappeared.)
Mahrouse Patisserie is a public service. Everything is fresh, everything is good, & the downtown location just saved me a long, emotional drive to Acadie. My gas tank & my mood both say thank you.
I had the knafeh & it was really good. Yes, it's smaller than the Lebanese version we all grew up with. No, I'm not mad about it. Quality is there, flavor is on point, & it clearly knows what it's doing. Very tasty, very satisfying, very'okay fine I'll come back.'
Service? Impressive. Friendly, efficient, & fast, like they know you're there for serious dessert business.
One small comment though… the kaake.
It is tiny. Not'cute' tiny. More like'is this the sample?' tiny. Please make it a bit bigger. I'm not asking for miracles, just something that doesn't disappear in three bites.
Overall, amazing spot, fresh desserts, great service.
I heard a lot of positive reviews, so I decided to try the place & the pastries they sell. I bought 1 kg for baklava for 53 $ plus 15% for the service for a total amount of 61$. First of all, the service was bad, they gave me a ready-made box when I wanted to choose the type of baklava I wanted, pistachio, almond, nuts, etc.
The people serving were very unpleasant & look like they are forced to serve you. For sure, it was the first & last time I visit this place!!!
Bad service. The place was practically empty & they had the two people in line wait in a restricted area far from view of the products.
