Patates 2000 is one of those authentic local places that are becoming harder & harder to find. I came here at around 4:00 AM, & it was honestly impressive to find a real casse-croûte in Laval already open & ready to serve a proper breakfast at that hour.

The team was extremely friendly, supportive & welcoming from the moment I arrived. You can feel that this is a place with history & character, not another generic fast-food chain. The atmosphere has that classic old-school Quebec casse-croûte feeling, & for me that is part of its charm.

I ordered the Special 2000 breakfast, & it was a very generous plate with eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, potatoes, baked beans, toast & fruit. Everything you need for a serious early-morning breakfast, & the price was very reasonable for the amount of food.

Patates 2000 is also well known locally for its poutine, fresh-cut fries, hot dogs, burgers & subs, so there is definitely a lot more I want to try on future visits. I especially appreciate places like this that have been part of the Laval community for years & continue serving straightforward Quebec comfort food without trying to become something they are not.

Another huge advantage is the very early opening time. If you're working overnight, starting an early shift, driving through Laval in the morning, or simply looking for a good breakfast around 4 AM, this is a place worth knowing.

Great service, generous portions, reasonable prices & plenty of local character. Patates 2000 is a true old-school Laval casse-croûte & a local institution worth supporting. I will definitely be back to try the poutine & more of the menu. Highly recommended!
