Visited Parma Cafe in downtown Montreal during the summer & had a great experience. I ordered a coffee & pasta, & both were excellent-fresh, well-balanced, & clearly made with care. Special thanks to the chef, Jinil, whose cooking really stood out. The flavors were rich & comforting, & the presentation was clean & appetizing. A solid spot for anyone looking for good coffee & quality Italian-style food in the heart of the city. Would definitely visit again.
I am embarrassingly fussy about my coffee & truthfully not that many cafes can pull a decent espresso. I am super addicted to this place… like a junk I crawl in every day I'm in town to get my fix, usually 3 in a row while I have my cigarillo on the steps with the fientes d'oiseaux … not even that can put me off.
Hopelessly addicted 😢☕?☕?☕?💀
Just keeps getting worse. Terrible business decisions for profit. Used to be the best place for the most well-crafted Italian sandwiches.
Sausage sandwich just jumped from 13.95 to 16.95 from one week to the next. San Daniele sandwich went up yet another dollar, for the same, if not worse quality. In the past year, for the San Daniele, olive tapenade was removed, & the quantity of mortadella was almost halved & is otherwise inconsistent.
In the past year, for their whole lineup, they decided to replace any greens with shredded McDonald's-like lettuce because it was'easier' (read: cheaper). Fries portion was cut in half because they designed their new branded container. Most sandwiches went up in price despite all this.
They can't even compensate with warm customer service; everyone always acts too busy to serve anyone, with barely a smile.
For the price these paninis cost, they are definitely NOT worth it - unfortunately the ones I got were dry, tasteless & the ingredients didn't balance together well.
The latte I've ordered was also sadly bad tasting - super bitter & not creamy at all.
The only advantage of this place is the location - being right next to the train station.
We came when there was no one else there, so the service was fast.
The coffee & cookie were both okay, but I did notice some small flies near the cookies in the display. It would be better to keep the area more protected.
An excellent Café well located for for a cozy coffee or lunch break. Their classic chicken sandwich was incredible - a little bit pricey for a sandwich, but the quality & portion ends up being well worth it. The service was very friendly, I would certainly visit again for more frequent lunch breaks, although it fills up quite quickly due to its location.
We were in town for a convention & stopped here for breakfast twice the pricing is great, the food is delicious & the coffee was delicious! Really nothing bad to say just a great spot for breakfast I got the BLT one day & the steak & eggs another day with a hash brown. Both delicious! Would love to come back go try other things on the menu or at lunch (the Italian sandwiches look amazing
