Awfull service, the waiter couldn't be bothered with us. We had to ask for our drinks after we were done our entree. He didn't even care to respond to us when we said good-night. The food was very good & tasty but because of the negative dining experience, we will never go back & I will not recommend this establishment to any one.

This restaurant had been on my wish list but disappointingly the meal was awful. We had the over-cooked Calamari, which is served without any sauce while they suggest you buy the tzatziki as a dip; we also had a bland, meagre Grilled Octopus followed by the most tasteless, peculiarly butchered, skinny lamb chops which were shaped like short, very thick-cut bacon slices. We also had the Baked Lamb, which didn’t look “baked” at all but was colourless & limp as though it had been boiled & it actually tasted “boiled”: So overcooked, soft, limp & bland that the meat was unidentifiable as lamb - no aroma, no flavour at all; like it had been boiled in plain water without any seasonings - just awful. The main courses were served with basic white rice, boiled potatoes & a salad that I don' remember. The service was acceptable. Needless to say, we won’t be going back.
I've eaten at this location approximately twenty times, always selecting the recommended fish plate. The seafood has, without exception, been "par excellence"! Always fresh, grilled to perfection & tasty. The mezze (appetizers) are, likewise, delicious. Most memorable personally are the grilled eggplant & zucchini; the Greek salad is always served freshly-prepared, & the Tzazkiki, while not my all-time favorite, is tatsy. By way of preference, I'm more partial to their skordalia.
The wine list is sufficiently large for a West Island restaurant, offering a great accompaniment to the meal. Service is always friendly, professional & reasonably swift, considering how busy Panama can get on a typical weekend. As with comparable seafood restos, pricing is certainly more towards the moderate end of the scale, but wholly within reason given the quality of the food.
We have dined at Panama's 2 locations & we usually love the food however tonight was my birthday & my husband & daughter asked were I wanted to go for dinner, Of course Panama's for their amazing service & food & also a wonderful ambiance. However I was very disappointed. We ordered the vegetable platter which was excellent, followed by a calamari for the 3 of us, this arrived horribly over cooked (it was rubber) when we told them we were told that it must be under cooked if it is rubbery. they took it back & replaced it with the same over cooked calamari. We then ordered souvlaki plates, & the lamb roast with a Greek village salad. The waitress then told us not to order the salad as our meals came with a salad. Well meals arrived no salad all the souvlaki was very over cooked. lamb was excellent. Waitress had forgotten. All in all this was a very disappointing Birthday Meal. I must say however that the last time we ate there it was 5 stars.Everything was perfect. So we will give it another try.
