Bon endroit pour un brunch. Normal que l'endroit soit si courru: les gâteaux sont absolument délicieux. Les employé(e)s sont à l'écoute & attentionné(e)s. Prix très raisonnables pour la qualité.
Great food, great coffee, but the best part is customer service!! Employees are so friendly, so nice, so much fun, it makes the ambiance great!
When business started ,taste of their cakes was perfect, don't know why with time quitting became regular like any regular pastry
Malheureusement la pire chocolatine que j'ai mangé. Le cappuccino, c'était un latté.... no comment
Excellent service. Mentioned that we were celebrating a Birthday & the lady put a birthday candle on the slice of cake that we chose, & even lit it for us! Lovely spot with great coffee & matcha lattes. Highly recommend the Savrina & Opera cake!
Pains & Saveurs - A Lovely Bakery with Room to Shine
Stopped by Pains & Saveurs during a stroll through Montreal, & it turned out to be a charming little find. The bakery has a beautiful storefront-warm, modern, & inviting, with the smell of fresh bread & pastries drifting out as you walk by. It definitely has that cozy European café vibe, with wood accents, nice displays, & a peaceful energy that makes you want to sit down & stay a while.
The pastries are really the star here. I tried the croissant, a pain au chocolat, & a pistachio tart-everything was buttery, flaky, & well-executed. You can tell the ingredients are high-quality & made with care. The croissant especially had a great balance of crisp & softness. Not overly greasy, & not dry like some places. Just right.
Their bread selection also looked amazing. I grabbed a small sourdough loaf to go, & it held up beautifully at home. Great crust, great chew. If I lived nearby, I'd be back regularly just for that.
The coffee was good-not mind-blowing, but solid. I ordered a cappuccino, & it was smooth & balanced. Definitely enjoyable with the pastries, though not necessarily a standout on its own.
Staff were polite & helpful, although a bit on the reserved side. I wouldn't say it was the warmest service I've ever had, but they were efficient & professional. The pace was calm, & even when a few people came in at once, they handled it well.
Prices are slightly on the higher end, but honestly fair considering the quality. You're paying for craftsmanship, fresh ingredients, & a lovely environment, so I didn't mind it at all.
Why 4 stars & not 5? Just a couple small things-service could be a touch more personal, & while the pastry game is strong, the coffee & vibe could be pushed just a little further to make it a full-on destination spot. But still, very impressed overall.
Would I go back? Absolutely. Great for a quiet coffee break, a box of treats, or to pick up a loaf of bread that actually tastes like something. If you're in Montreal & enjoy bakeries, Pains & Saveurs is well worth a visit.
Tres cool se lieu! une Mme a charger mon bebe 10/10 pour ma experience ils Donne beacoup d' attencion la ses delicieu!
Love the turkey baguette there & the cappuccino, staff is always friendly
There was so much variety, & the service was good, too. There's a small section to sit, I had the latte with oat milk, which was very good too.
The tiramisu cake is soooooo good!! The staff were very friendly & helpful since I had some restrictions & needed to make sure the cake was suitable
