Visited on a Wednesday to take advantage of the kids' meal special. We had a large group including four children. We ordered the Poulet Grillé Romarin, the Cod in a Crust (Morue en croûte), & a variety of kids' meals (Duo Fromage, Spaghetti Bolognese, Mini Lapin, & Mafalda Alfredo).
Overall, the experience was decent but unremarkable.
The mains were cooked fine, the kids didn't finish their food. The self-serve bread bar was-as always-a nice touch, though nothing stood out as exceptional. It's a reliable spot for a family mid-week dinner, but nothing to write home about.
Good food but could be a little bigger & love the unlimited bread bar a bit salty on the food but overall I enjoyed it
Nice decor however bread bar was blocked off to us with benched seating back-to-back-to-back the entire aisle - had to walk all around back & forth. Service dude was polite but unnecessarily loud. Asked us for berverages but when we asked for plain water just dropped the bottle withoit serving us (we had to serve ourselves). Then had to wait 1 hr to get our meals - the joint was only 1/4 capacity but the service guy seemed a bit disorganized. Never came by to say how good was our meal. Had to flag him down twice for the water bottle refills - to which he continued to plop the bottle down & leave us to our refills. Food was good but really SALTY !! Bread bar was fine. Service was extremely slow & charmless. Only gave a 12% tip - felt I was generous at that.
One last note : 2 pita + caesar salads, 1 lasagna & 1 fish plate = 140$ !!! Yikes ! Montreal 2nd tier restaurants are ridiculously expensive !! Disappointing.
Nothing beats grilling your own bread, this concept needs to spread before the whole world becomes allergic to gluten. What more can I say? Food was great.
The bread station is so good 😅 trick is to butter both sides 😅😅🐷 Wife got lasagna & mocktail, i got fish & pasta with negroni. Lasagna was ok. Pasta of lasagna was nice Her mocktail was refreshing & nice Negroni was meh 🙂↕️ My fish & pasta was really good, we both finished my plate 😂🤣 lasagna was kept for leftovers & bread bar was used appropriately & often 😂 Service was great Pacini is good, even for a chain, its great
Ordered the carbonara & my partner got the ravioli, both arrived lukewarm & were cold by the third bite. The bread station was fine but all in all, 80$ for two with one drink each is not worth it. The waitress was nice but i can't recommend.
I love the place. It took me a while to give it a chance, but my family & I fell in love with the bread bar with a variety of bread types & seasoned butters. You can grill your bread with butter for an all you can eat bar if you go for a meal from the main menu. Oh, the menu is delicious. Everything that I tried so far was really good. I recommend you try the Risoto. With a seafood & a vegetarian option, it is my favorite
Sauce. Flavor. Portions. All we're lacking. Everyone got different things & none of us enjoyed our meal. I got the carbonara. I liked the fact that they kept a yolk for us to mix & that saved it a bit for me because otherwise, it would've been too dry. Best thing anyone had was from the bread station. However, the service was great & our waitress was bilingual.
Reading some of the reviews made us a little hesitant about dining here, but we really didn't have to worry! The restaurant is a lovely place to eat, with a wide range of options, both meat & vegetarian! The bread bar is limited but serves its purpose with a nice range of spreads. Our waitress, Maude, was lovely! Very attentive despite it being extremely busy & even tried to help us with food/drink choices according to taste. All in all, well worth a visit :)
