Pacini offers a dependable family friendly dining option with a popular bread bar and mains such as pasta and pizza often well received, and some visits highlight attentive service and a pleasant atmosphere, but overall experiences vary with reports of inconsistent service, forgotten or late courses, long waits for refills and high prices for the quality, while a few dishes are described as salty or underwhelming for the cost.
Nice decor however bread bar was blocked off to us with benched seating back-to-back-to-back the entire aisle - had to walk all around back & forth. Service dude was polite but unnecessarily loud. Asked us for berverages but when we asked for plain water just dropped the bottle withoit serving us (we had to serve ourselves). Then had to wait 1 hr to get our meals - the joint was only 1/4 capacity but the service guy seemed a bit disorganized. Never came by to say how good was our meal. Had to flag him down twice for the water bottle refills - to which he continued to plop the bottle down & leave us to our refills. Food was good but really SALTY !! Bread bar was fine. Service was extremely slow & charmless. Only gave a 12% tip - felt I was generous at that.
One last note : 2 pita + caesar salads, 1 lasagna & 1 fish plate = 140$ !!! Yikes ! Montreal 2nd tier restaurants are ridiculously expensive !! Disappointing.
The waiter did a fantastic job, but the kitchen made us wait for 2h30 & the restaurant wasn't even half full. The kitchen didn't communicate with the waiter, the food was very basic (even for a Pacini I mean I know what I'm getting into), my pizza was 25$ for an individual basic thing not even something special or high end produce just a regular all dressed. Needless to say I won't go back
Service was great! Our waiter was awesome & welcoming. We had the share platter & it was very good. The restaurant has a beautiful decor ,nice ambiance.
Nous avons pris un tartare de boeuf , ( beaucoup trop de câpres & beaucoup trop sur & énormément de sauce ! Connaisseuse de tartare je suis énormément déçu !! Pas mangeable malheureusement … & nous avons pris le veau & sa aussi mon copain énormément déçu de l'assiette . Par contre la serveuse avec des tattoos très gentille !

Les pizzas sont si minces pour le prix & il y a peu de garniture. Les pâtes carbonara goute très ordinaires & assez cher! & pour avoir trouver deux poils noirs ça me dégoûtais assez que j'e n'ai pas voulu les terminer. Le bar à pain manquait de pain blanc ou sinon les restant étaient secs 😅 Bref, pour le prix ça ne vaut pas la peine surtout les petits jeunes serveurs & serveuses qui discute & te dévisage au lieu de servir comme dans un vrai restaurant.
Nothing beats grilling your own bread, this concept needs to spread before the whole world becomes allergic to gluten. What more can I say? Food was great.
