Osteria Gallo is described as a cozy, charming neighborhood Italian spot with warm, attentive service and generous portions. We found this gem of a restaurant while visiting Montreal with a sports club. We had a group of 6 adults & 8 kids that they were able to accommodate last minute. The food was INCREDIBLE, it was the best pizza I've had. Prices were very reasonable & service was great. The staff were all wonderful, great with the kids & very accommodating of a larger group, splitting bills, etc. Top notch find, we'll definitely be back.
My rating is really a 4.8, only because there was no tiramisu left by the time we got to dessert!! But this resto deserves the higher end "rounding-up". We dined as a group of 6, ordered 3 appy's for the table, & everyone ordered their own entrée, of which each of us proceeded to taste all the dishes. Whew!! We are fussy "foodies" & can say all the dishes were excellent, well executed, flavourful, generous servings, & pleasantly presented. Service was also excellent. The proprietors were extremely welcoming & humble, & subtly attuned to their customers. Go there!! Grazie a Osteria Gallo!! Bravo!
Six of us had a very pleasant meal in this small restaurant. Dishes were prepared meticulously. Service was friendly & up beat. Frankly every dish was great. Truly the sort of meal one hopes for when visiting Montreal. The kitchen is small & restaurant was pretty full, so dishes did not come out terribly quickly. Well within reasonable though.. Go with someone whose company you enjoy ;). Pasta portions were very generous, so if you have a pile of starters, you might want to share the dinner course. This place is a keeper.

Very good home style rustic cooking. Service was wonderful & the owners were accommodating hospitable & friendly. Some of the nicest restaurant owners (husband/wife couple) my husband & I have had the pleasure of meeting.

Dropped in last minute as we were just in the area & let me say, great option amazing food from the pizza to the tripe to the tiramisu!! Definitely going back! A little hidden gem 💎
Delicious little Italian restaurant close to Jarry station. The owners were so kind & friendly, all smiles! I got the spaghetti pomodoro which was lovely. It wasn't too salty but tasted very homemade (in the best way possible). Pasta was cooked for just the right amount of time. The vibe & atmosphere was also very nice & a little fancy! Super clean too. I would definitely recommend & come back here :)

We enjoyed a nice italian meal here, the restaurant is small & cosy. Cocktail & wine, the negroni was well balanced. We shared the antipasto platter, it was generous & everything was good to get in the mood for more. The cavatelli barese were flavourful The stinco agnello was falling from the bone, a delight ! A tiramisu with load of mascarpone It was a very good meal, the pasta are delicious & affordable. I recommend the the place !

Tout est absolument délicieux dans ce restaurant. La propriétaire est extrêmement gentille & accueillante. Définitivement un endroit ou je retournerais les yeux fermés.
Excellent food! The owner is very attentive. The food was very authentic. They sat us even when they did not have reservations available which is impossible in Montreal. So we really appreciate it that. The pasta was a little bit too much flavorful but overall I rather more flavor than tasteless. You can tell is a very Italian place!
