Review Summary

Onigiri Shop receives praise for generous portions, fresh ingredients, and friendly, attentive service that many describe as warm and welcoming; guests highlight a wide range of fillings and good value, making it a reliable spot for a quick and satisfying meal. The atmosphere is often described as cozy, suitable for casual meals and for a special night out, with many noting high quality and care in presentation. Some criticisms arise about inconsistency in preparation, such as onigiris that are too rice heavy, fillings not as balanced as expected, and textures that can be dry or soggy when certain fillings are used; a few diners also mention kitchen distractions like phones and occasional language barriers in service. Overall, Onigiri Shop is frequently recommended for its fresh taste and friendly staff, with caveats depending on time and specific orders.

Nothing too crazy here, pretty ordinary overall. I found it lacked a bit of flavor, but for $5, it's hard to complain too much. Good for a quick, budget-friendly bite.

Is a nice lunch spot for A quick bite, very affordable & tasty portions, very generous. The staff were polite but seemed easily flustered. Overall recommend 😊🍙

I had a fresh spicy Tuna from Onigiri Shop at a café earlier this year, & it was delicious.

In comparison, the onigiri at this location was a disaster. Perhaps at this particular hour, the staff were inexperienced, but what they served was borderline inedible.

I ordered the spicy salmon & was recommended the Ebi Tempura. Setting aside the presentation, which was a quickly wrapped ball of rice that didn't match the takeaway images, the taste, in my opinion is the most important, & it was lacking. The onigiri also fell apart while I was trying to eat it, which made the experience frustrating.

The spicy salmon filling itself was good, however, it was wrapped in the equivalent of three portions of rice. I had to remove the excess rice to make the meal enjoyable.

The Ebi Tempura was essentially a greasy mayo rice ball, with the same excessive amount of rice, & its presentation was also disappointing.

As I could have made two more onigiri with the leftover rice on my plate, I believe new workers would benefit from using an onigiri mold or something similar to learn the correct rice-to-filling ratio.

Overall, a thoroughly disappointing experience, & I'm unsure if I will return anytime soon.
