Second time at Nozy & I asked myself why I didn't go more often. The fish was fresh & delicious. The Yuzu ceviche was also mouth watering! The Kaisen Don is a classic. Having different types of seafood is always amazing 🤩 We also took the entree with 5 dishes from the chef. Must try!View more
Excellent repas 9 services, de très bonnes saveurs (oursin, caviar, sashimis).View more
I had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner here with my love. The food was delicious. The fish was particularly outstanding. I think this is my new favorite restaurant! I can't wait to go backView more
One of the best Japanese restaurants in Montreal! Delicious menu, great service & very cosy atmosphere. We loved everything but we had karaage fried chicken seconds :) Will be visiting again!View more
We were originally planning to get dinner at Satay Brothers on a Saturday night. However the place was so busy that we went down the street & came across Nozy. We were able to get a table immediately. The atmosphere was very cozy on a chilly December evening. I ordered the unagi don & shared the fruit sake tasting drinks with a friend. The peach & plum sakes were delicious - I'd highly recommend. The unagi don was delicious & very filling. Service was fantastic, our server was very friendly & helped us pick what to order. I really loved this restaurant & would definitely visit again!View more
For me as a Japanese, this is definitely ranked in top 3 of my favourite Japanese restaurants. You should try Uni, Saumon, Bluefin tuna don.View more
Simply the best. Le chef est un artiste & je ne me lasserai jamais de venir à ce restaurant.View more
Ordered the chirashi bowl for two. Everything was fresh & relish. Totoro tummy, uni, eels, salmon & the rice was all so flavourful! ---- Update 10/2023 I did not go back to that restaurant since the pandemic. Decided to try their Omakase that they serve during the weekend. The ingredients were amazingly fresh & I would definitely recommend to go for their all you can drink menu as well. Pricing was a bit expensive but worth the experience. If you're craving for some fresh Japanese seafood dishes, it is definitely worth going.View more
The fish is very fresh & melt in your mouth! Excellent quality for a very decent price point, with a great selection including urchin & fatty tuna. Simple but very beautiful presentation of the dishes, the take kago comes in a cute woven basket with a chef's selection of different appetizers to try, & serves as a meal. Their karaage is also one of my favourites in Montreal!View more
View more
I admit that it's a bit pricy, but quality was there for raw fish. As a Japanese person, prefer not to have sriracha sauce (?) on rice but all fish tastes great so no complaints. It seemed like it's run only by owner himself for lunch time so it might take time to be served if it's busy.View more
Went for the 14 course omakase. Was disappointed in the lack of fish & quality for the substantial price. The unlimited alcohol included would normally be expensive but was not a good trade for the quality of the food. Was really trying to like this restaurant but left feeling shortchanged.View more
Great service & food! Thought about gatekeeping but this place definitely deserves more attention!! Will definitely be coming back.View more
Went for 14 course omakaze, that ended up being 13 courses.
4 of the courses were served together, one bite each.
Really small portions. Disappointingly so.
Tiny cuts of sashimi.
One of the main courses was a tablespoon of rice covered in maybe 1.5 tablespoons of curry sauce with a teaspoon of shredded chicken. Would be funny if it wasn’t so expensive.
Way overpriced for what was served.View more
We went to the Omakase night on Saturday evening.
Everything was delicious & portions were quite generous. They had several Sake options available that were included in the price.
A heartfelt recommendation View more
I liked this restaurant, good quality, normally acceptable price, but normally the sashimi as starters are not too thin, this evening, it was 30-40% less thick tehn usual & not much variety for 16 pieces... I find this shocking as it's my favorite item in this restaurant.
Too bad, I don't know if I'll go back?
Note: I never take the sashimi with rice (main dish), as the rice is always hot & start to cook the sashimi (maybe that is the way in Japan, but for me it make no sense)View more
