Lanzhou Lamian, also known as Lanzhou Hand-Pulled Noodles, is a type of Chinese noodle dish that originated in Lanzhou, the capital city of Gansu province in China. It is a popular street food in China and can be found in many Chinese restaurants around the world.
The process of making Lanzhou Lamian is an art form in itself. The dough is made from wheat flour, water, and sometimes eggs. The dough is then hand-pulled, stretched, and folded in a specific way to create the thin, chewy noodles. The noodles are then boiled and served in a clear soup broth, which is made from beef bones, spices, and herbs. Thinly sliced beef, green onions, and cilantro are often added as toppings.
Overall, Nouilles KungFu earns high marks for fresh, handmade noodles and flavorful broths, with generous portions and friendly, efficient service. Reviewers highlight watching the noodles being made in the open kitchen, the variety of bowls from pork and beef soups to spicy options, and the strong value offered. A few notes include occasional waits during busy times and a lively atmosphere, but the experience is described as authentic, comforting, and highly recommendable.
Wonderful fresh handmade noodles on the South Shore ! Went on a cool day, & the hot soup was greatly appreciated. We had the braised beef soup, & it came with a choice of noodles, ranging from thin to belt-width ! We had the wide & extr-la/wide noodles, & both were tender with a wonderful bouncy texture. Though small, it is definitely worth the visit
Very tender pork that basically melts in your mouth, noodles were fresh making it easy to slurp them down on top of the sauce complementing all the elements of the dish very well. Worth a detour to try out if you're ever in the area.
The food is without a doubt excellent. Good portions, amazing noodles & tasty broth. Unfortunately, we had to wait a very time to get our meal... over an hour. Our tables bowls were served all at different times which was strange. But I'd definitely go again at a less busier time!
Food was delicious & staff was nice. HOWEVER after reading other reviews I realized that I have paid tip TWICE because I haven't noticed that it automatically put tip when you order. So I paid tip on the order (without my knowledge) & I tipped AGAIN when I paid. Not a fan of this technique

Hands down one of the best pulled noodle spots in Montreal. I had the braised beef, extra spicy, & wide noodles & left nothing in the bowl. I even thought about going back for dinner the same day! The broth, noodles & chilli oil are the best. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
To be honest, the food is not bad. The only downside is the portion of the meat. I ordered a large bowl of noodles, the portion of meat was ridiculously small. I could count there were about 4 slides of extremely thin meat. Although the entire bowl of noodles would fill your stomach very well, I would expect a bit more meat. Furthermore, it looked like the A/C was not strong enough that I had been sweating like rain dropping from my head while I was eating. Because of that I didn't enjoy my food during the stay.

These noodles are amazing! Freshly made & you can choose the sizes of how thick or thin you'd like your noodles to be. We had the dry special beef noodles (spicy) & lanzhou shoup noodles with beef. Both with chive leaf style of noodles & both are excellent! The spiciness is on point, not too much not too little. The Lanzhou noodles soup was also flavored & impressive!
I was there last week & ordered its Special Beef Noodle Soup. The waiter was super polite & helpful, & the handmade noodles that were made at the site had a great texture; the soup tasted ok. BUT, WHERE IS THE BEEF? Nothing likes the picture on the menu
Came for the lanzhou noodles because I love the one in chinatown. But this place has no line ups. Extremely delicious homemade noodles & broth. Would come back to try their other plates. Service is also very good.
