I had a really great experience at Notre-Boeuf-de-Grâce, & a huge part of that was because of our server, Damian. From the moment we sat down, Damian was incredibly friendly, welcoming, & professional. He made us feel comfortable right away & genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great experience.
Damian was attentive without being overbearing, which I really appreciated. He checked in on us regularly, made sure we had everything we needed, & was always happy to answer any questions we had about the menu. He was also very knowledgeable about the food & gave us some helpful recommendations when we weren't sure what to order.
What stood out the most was Damian's attitude. He was genuinely upbeat & personable throughout the entire meal. Even when the restaurant was busy, he remained patient & attentive, & it was obvious that he takes his job seriously. He went above & beyond to make sure everything was going smoothly, & his positive attitude really added to the atmosphere of the restaurant.
The food was great, but having a server like Damian made the experience even better. Good service can make a huge difference when you're going out to eat, & Damian is exactly the kind of server who makes customers want to come back. He was respectful, funny, attentive, & extremely easy to talk to.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Notre-Boeuf-de-Grâce, & if you happen to have Damian as your server, you're in good hands. He deserves a lot of credit for the experience he provides to customers. It's clear that he puts effort into making people feel welcome, & that definitely doesn't go unnoticed.
Thank you, Damian, for the excellent service! I'll definitely be coming back.
Here is a haiku to commemorate this experience:
Damian serves with grace
A smile brightens every table
Kindness fills the room
Went with two friends for a couple of drinks & some food everything was amazing , but our server Damien definitely made our experience , excellent service
I used to love this place but it has gone down hill big time. I ordered on Uber Eats & they forgot to put the 2 orders of fries in the bag. So I drove to the restaurant to pick them up myself. I was given 2 orders of fries that were half filled. One of the fries were hot but the other bag of fries were cold from sitting on the counter for a few minutes. I then got home to eat my cold burgers since we had to go pick up the fries ourselves. I opened the beet salad which costs $17 & it was the most disappointing salad I've ever seen. It was so small & looked like they just threw stuff in a to go container. You can tell the staff don't care about anything. I was at least expecting them to give me a dessert for the error & making me come all the way to pick up half empty fries but they couldn't care less. I've been to the restaurant a handful of times & unfortunately I will not be returning nor will I ever order from them again
42 dollars for a burger & a beer. No salad, no French fries. No napkins after my order.
Kind of (way too) expensive for what it is. Not coming back, even if it was a very good burger.
Ordered for my daughter's birthday & such a waste! The fries were TERRIBLE. For the price of the meals it would be nice if they at least bulked it up with GOOD fresh fries cause potatoes are cheap. If, as a restaurant, the fries are too expensive for you to be generous with, just call it a day & close. But it's a teensy weeny portion of very hard & burnt fries. They definitely were older/ pre-made & refried/possibly just heated. No one would make fries like that on purpose. My daughter & husband hated their burgers too, 2 other people enjoyed the flavor of theirs but found them not very fresh. The fish & chips was really just a piece of fish because they FORGOT the coleslaw & again...the fries were terrible. If you order fish & chips the meal is fish & chips but most were inedible because of how hard they were. That's half the meal in the garbage. Whether the burgers or fish were good or not is overshadowed by the fact you paid for fries & in the end are only eating the burger. They might as well shred some newpaper & just stick that in the box instead.
I think it's really a shame especially with people eating out less because of the skyrocketing prices. So when someone actually picks a restaurant to spend their money, shouldn't they get the best quality & feel appreciated? Shouldn't you put your best stuff forward to get these people coming back? Being served old nasty fries & questionably fresh burgers is an insult. We know we didn't get something fresh made & for 270$ I think we deserved better . I won't ever be a customer here again. I had to apologize to my daughter for her crappy meal on her birthday. She said we should've just ordered McDonald's & I truly can't even argue, at least we would've known what quality to expect.
I took myself out for dinner here the other night-here are my impressions.
Food: the house salad was great & really fresh. I really enjoyed the white wine sangria; it was sweet, flavorful, & strong. I liked the nutty flavor of the sesame seed coating on the salmon, but the salmon itself was lacking something; a bit underwhelming. The ricotta pancakes were tasty & the syrup really did taste like maple fudge.
Service: the staff were attentive & the nice young lady made sure I had everything I needed.
Atmosphere: It's alright. I sat on the patio & was comfortable enough with my drink, my book, & my food. It was a slower night with several empty tables. The server kept asking me if I needed anything else, which was proactive but at a certain point made me wonder if she was trying to prevent me from lingering. She did that with the table next to me as well. Overall, the uptempo music & the style of the service is better suited to going out in a group rather than having a slow night out with one's book.
I'd happily come here again with friends or a date, but for my solo date nights I'll go elsewhere.
Amazing experience at Notre Boeuf de Grâce! The food was absolutely delicious, everything tasted fresh, flavorful, & well prepared. The service was also excellent: friendly, attentive, & made the whole experience even better. You can really tell they care about both the quality of the food & the customer experience. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to. Highly recommend!
