The view & the quality of the coffee make this place a real gem especially during summer but I will be honest on weekends this place gets packed quickly! Must be a sign….
Cafe Norah is not what it used to be. Now it's overrun with cars, crowds, & lines. (TLDR: no parking, no seating, 2 hrs to receive food).
It seems that Instagram has created all this hype & now the cafe cannot keep up. I'm seeing Google reviews of people calling it an'Instagrammable cafe'…& this is the problem.
For several years I've been coming to this little cafe. It's always so fun & relaxing: great food, great atmosphere, busy on the weekends, but never overly full. The service has always been slow (usually very little wait to place an order, but a significantly longer wait for the food & drinks to arrive) & they can definitely run out of food towards the end of the day on a weekend. But that's to be expected for a family-run cafe. Sitting in their beautiful garden, one doesn't mind the wait.
Well...on Sunday we went on a much-anticipated drive to Norah & we were totally shocked. There were CROWDS! I truly don't know what happened: cars filling the lot & the entire entrance & nowhere to park, a line to order that went out the door & around the corner about 40 people long. Nowhere to sit once you receive your food.
We waited for 30 minutes in line in the hot sun & only got halfway through the line. Then we saw the sign saying it would take 45+ minutes to receive your food AFTER placing your order (which would be almost 2 hours after our arrival), so we left.
The line outside resembles something one would find in a big city, not a cafe in a small town. Who wants to go out for lunch & have to wait 2 hours to actually eat?
I don't begrudge the cafe owners their success, except I'm not even sure THEY want this. They clearly cannot keep up with the demand & it must be so stressful for them to have such crowds & not be able to give people a quality experience.
RIP my beloved Norah.

Waited an hour in line just for them to tell us there was no more food left, they ran out of soup & bread.....a better system is needed for a cut off time especially during the high season so people don't waste their time in line.
Cute concept. Feels like you are far out of the city on a slow & quieter day. I wouldn't recommend visiting on weekends as it gets crowded but a weekday morning should be fine! Limited parking spots available! Try to carpool if going in a group 🫶
Cute coffee spot with a nice view, & the drinks were good. But the kitchen closes at 3PM, so show up around 11-12 - expect an hour to hour & a half wait to order, then another 45 minutes for your coffee & a table outside if you're lucky. By 2:30 they were already out of sandwiches, & ingredients. Barely any pastries left.
Honestly, given the wait, I don't think it's worth it.
Great place, great atmosphere. Very limited choice of food but i suppose its not their main selling point. The line can be abysmal after 11am on the weekend.
Attente très longue de 2h30 pour accéder au café & après 30 minutes pour un bagel cream cheese. Le croissante goûte le plastique & ne goûte pas du tout frais . Le cadre est magnifique mais franchement ça en vaut pas la peine.
Beautiful café with a great view, a relaxing atmosphere, & friendly service. The coffee was excellent, & it's the perfect spot to sit back & enjoy the scenery. Highly recommend❤?
