This is a rare find. It competes with what use to be my favourite restaurant on the planet called'Veya' in Anguilla in the West Indies.
Almost every dish is spectacular & the staff
is friendly, very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor.
If you have noise level issues book a table outside.
In summer months (indoors) the heat might be an issue.
We'll go back because among fine restaurants
this one is easily among the best.
The food & the staff are outstanding !
Go & You'll Go Back.
This was such a lovely experience. The server was knowledgeable, friendly & approachable. The food was exceptional & the restaurant offers outdoor seating on a quiet street. This was my favorite spot during our quick visit to Montreal. & I almost forgot, the'cocktail of the day' was one of the best I've had.
Really enjoyed my experience at Nora Gray. The foglie d'ulivo, pesto de roquette, olives taggiasche was light, fresh, & easy to enjoy. The arugula pesto & olives worked very well together & gave the pasta a lot of flavor without feeling heavy.
The boeuf de la ferme d'Orée 8oz was also very good. The beef was dry-aged for five weeks & had a rich flavor. It was cooked perfectly for our taste, although they didn't ask how we wanted it cooked. The sauce on the steak was excellent & brought everything together.
Service was good overall & our server was knowledgeable & helpful. The only downside was that the restaurant is very strict with the menu. We asked to add a few drops of balsamic to the olive oil & they said no but the olive oil itself was great.
Overall, very good food & a nice experience.
We managed to get a table for 4 people last minute (1 hour before reservation time on a Tuesday).
Let start by saying that the female server we had was absolutely adorable & super knowledgeable about the menu. That's about the only upside.
We arrived 5 minutes in advance & the table wasn't ready until 30 minutes past our reservation time which was kind of annoying. We just stood there waiting for the table before us to leave.
The food is way too over priced for what it is. Basically the main course is simply not filling & not worth the price. Chickpeas, plain pasta & olive oil for $38 + tax is unreasonable. It's not even a big enough portion for a main course.
Atmosphere was SO noisy.
I would honestly not recommend coming l here which is disappointing because we live just around the corner & we were looking forward to trying this place for a long time.
I've been coming here for years & every time I go I am always wowed by everything. The food, the service & the ambiance are all old world feel in that they make you feel at home & welcome. Eat everythimg, drink everything & enjoy the ver knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended.
If you're looking for a five-star, cozy fine-Italian experience, this is it. It's pricey but the food is incredible - I'm vegan & they accommodated me with apps & a main. The wine list is fantastic & their staff is knowledgeable & helpful. Fantastic place.
Best spot in Montreal hands down. From the vibe to the food the staff is super knowledgeable
Fabulous small restaurant with very interesting wine (& knowledgeable sommelier). Loved the stuffed zucchini flowers in particular. Just a wonderful, memorable meal!
I had a beautiful dining experience here on April 25. Service was friendly, attentive & provided knowledgeable recommendations. The lamb meatball spaghetti was superb. Well curated wine list - suited to the restaurant. Cool, fun, interesting & delicious! I will definitely be back & highly recommend you to visit :)
