Review Summary

My Little Cup is a highly regarded spot conveniently located near the metro, frequently praised for its high-quality coffee and excellent selection of pastries. Most visitors appreciate the friendly and efficient service, noting that the staff often provides a welcoming atmosphere despite the busy morning rush. While opinions on the consistency of the coffee preparation can vary depending on the barista, the overall consensus highlights a superior product compared to larger chains, with many patrons making it a regular stop for their daily commute or a special treat.

One of the best, smooth, & delicious coffees in Montreal. Quality beans. The prices are on the higher end but worth it. They also have yummy pastries. Try pistachio babka & almond croissant. Staff is kind & welcoming. The cafe is located inside the metro. There is no sitting area. I wish they had actually coffee shop. My favorite drinks are oat milk latter & cappuccino. Oh, & try their latte with macadamia milk.

I love this little coffee shop. They use good-quality coffee beans, have a wide variety of non-dairy milks, & their scones are to die for. Staff is always kind & efficient too. I think this place is definitely worth a detour if you're in the downtown/ McGill metro area.

Their latte just hit the spot for amateur of coffee. A bit less traditional, it has a bit of fruitiness without losing its balance & they know how to correctly steam the milk
(which is not always a given, sadly)
Would recommend to anyone except Starbucks fans ;)

This café is located right outside the metro, inside the metro passage, which makes it super convenient for students & people working nearby. Mornings can get very busy, but if you want to avoid the line, going between 10:00 & 11:30 a.m. is ideal.

Even during rush hour, the staff is incredibly fast & always friendly. They also offer different milk options like almond, lactose-free, & regular milk. The coffee selection is great, & everything feels quick & efficient without losing the personal touch.

The best part of this place is definitely the staff. I come here two or three times a week, & they make me feel welcome.

Highly recommend!

This is my go-to for coffee & pastries downtown - there's simply no better cafe doing this level of quality in the area. The baristas are fast & efficient, making coffee using award winning Phil & Sebastian beans from Calgary, combined with high quality Quebec milk, to stunning results. Pastries are mostly supplied by Hof Kelsten, of which its owner has an impressive CV of Michelin star kitchen experience, which shows in the execution of its viennoiseries. In a sea of mediocre cafes downtown, MLC stands out.

I am a regular at this place. & have been putting off writing a review for a while. Because I always thought I'd give it another try.
I have to say if you are not friendly at least make me a good capuccino. I'm sorry I don't know the names but literally the man who works there who always wears a hoody is the only friendly person, & he is the only one who should be allowed to make coffee. He actually puts an effort. The lady that is working there today, I dread when she makes my capuccino. First the cup is not even filled . The foam is wrong & she just throws the milk in there without any good method/barista technique . Complaining is not my thing but the ladies that work there do not like/know how to make coffee nor are they ever friendly . Kinda sad experience when you just want a pick me up nice cup of capuccino. See pic attached & judge for yourself if this is worth $6.50
i recommend only if the guy is making the coffeee

Revised : October 2025

I'm glad the other lady doesn't work there anymore :D

Katy is the best at making coffee ! Not only she is super friendly & cool but she is a pro at making cappuccinos etc :) & also the other two guys there are super nice as well .

Hands down the best coffee shop in Montréal. They sell third-wave specialty coffee, with a different coffee every few months, so you can expect quality uniquely tasting drinks with a nice surprise as they move on to new bags. When they're not in rush hours, you get to have a nice homely moment with the barista; & some great recommendations for your home stash as well! I wish they'd have lactose-free milk, as I find other alternatives to be too aggressive in taste, which can often hide notes from those fragrant coffees. But maybe that's a good thing, cause I'd spend way too much in that little shop...

Ordered a latte. Exceptionally well made. The milk was perfectly steamed. The espresso not burnt, sweet crema flavor throughout. Exceptional latte.
