Ate here twice, once recently & the first time a couple of years back.
1. Steak is as good, maybe the best I've ever had. But plating used to be better, & the portion size of the sides used to be larger as well.
2. Dishes other than the steak are just OK. I think they try to make up for the stripped down menu with'carefully thought out' appetizers & pastas, but i really think they'd be better off doing what they do best: keeping things simple.View more

Scrumdelicious aged T-bone with smashed potatoes & greens. The veggies were tasty & I'd happily take double. We'll definitely be back, though next time we would like to sit by the wall. Being in the middle meant a parade of butts & bellies brushing a little too close for comfort.View more

We had a great dinner at Mucca in Montreal. The atmosphere was warm & welcoming, with a cozy vibe that made us feel right at home. It's located on Rue Saint-Zotique in the charming Little Italy neighborhood, which adds to the overall experience quiet, local, & full of character.
We started with the Fiori di zucca zucchini flowers filled with ricotta. The dish was light, subtly crisp, fresh, & beautifully presented.
For our main course, we ordered the Costata, a 20oz rib steak from Holstein cattle aged for 50 days. It was cooked perfectly medium, just as requested , great flavor, generously portioned.
To finish, we had ice cream served with a crisp waffle tucked in. It was incredibly delicious creamy, rich, & satisfying.
One thing we really appreciated is that Mucca makes many of its recipes fresh in-house including the bread, which was warm & delicious. That extra care in preparation really shows in the quality of service & food. The person who served us was friendly, attentive, & informative. We had different appetites & preferences, & they took the time to check in, understand what we were looking for, & recommend the most fitting dish for the evening. Their suggestion was spot-on, & we fully enjoyed it.
We also had the chance to speak with the chef / the owner , lovely people. They've started Mucca with a mission: to keep the menu simple, authentic, uncompromising in quality.
Everything we tasted was top-notch, & the pricing was very good for the quality offered. We'll definitely be coming back to try more of their signature ice cream & the Tomahawk steak. 👍🎊View more

In town for an event, & our group of 9 randomly decided to try Mucca since it was a few blocks away.
Great decision! We were lucky to snag a few tables for the entire group & the Owner served us directly & essentially helped us customize a meal to suit our party size & preferences. She was so engaging & helpful explaining her farm to table approach.
We literally got 1 of everything on the menu! Ribeye, tbone, & tomahawk, Tagliatelle pasta, & charcuterie board. Steaks cooked to perfection medium rare.
Had good selection of local wines. Finished if off with few desserts. The Salame Cioccolato was surprisingly good! Literally looks like a thick slab of salame but rich chocolatey firm mousse. So good.
Loved the atmosphere & how engaging & helpful the owner was even when we had questions about montreal in general.

This Italian steakhouse completely exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely amazing - every bite was bursting with flavor & clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The steak was perfectly cooked & paired beautifully with traditional Italian sides. The atmosphere was warm & inviting, & the service was top-notch.
