Overall, reviews for Mr. Dumpling describe a cosy, small, unpretentious spot with a quiet, pleasant vibe. Dishes such as General Tao and shrimp are commonly praised for flavor, though some diners mention leaving a bit hungry or note better value elsewhere. Peanut butter dumplings are repeatedly highlighted as a standout, alongside fast service and a friendly, courteous staff. The seaweed salad and other dumplings receive consistently good marks, and fresh made dumplings are noted as a specialty. Prices are described as reasonable and service as consistently friendly. A few reviews note the restaurant is very small and calm, a cosy gem. Different languages reflect broad appeal, with diners praising both food quality and the helpful staff.
The young man serving was very courteous. However, my chicken dumplings didn't taste very good (like smokey, watery canned chicken) & there were dead bugs & spiderwebs & sauce-like gunk on the windows. I had the chicken & shrimp dumplings as well as the chicken & cabbage dumplings. I might come back & try something else (this was my only first experience) & change my review later. But I was disappointed.
Habituellement très bon, mais hier soir, les plats que nous avons eu à emporter, ceux au poulet étaient vraiment mauvais (le général tao & les dumplings poulet chou) - Le poulet n'était clairement pas frais.
The food & service is absolutely wonderful at Mr. Dumpling. It has been & remains my favorite "asian food restaurant" in Verdun since its opening a few years ago. It's a great place to have lunch / dinner! I highly recommend 😊
