Omgoodness, so walking in i wondered whether to turn around because it smells not fabulous in there, not fishy & i don't think it's them i think it's the super old building location they're in. Ordered for the crabcakes meal for takeout, had very low expectations, went to pick up groceries & went home.
Well, i opened that thing & my eyes fell out of my head. First of all, veey generous portion, 3 quite good sized crab cakes, the fries looked like the ones you want for poutine, fat wedge of lemon on the side. Still low expectations but smiling with hope. The fries - still FANTASTIC after the detour to the grocery store. The crab cakes, i want to curse they were so good - the crisp was still there but the cake itself was just this beautiful texture & the taste was sitting on a boardwalk in New England by the sea.
LOVE LOVE LOVE it, i can't wait to try the shrimp & calamari, i see bankruptcy in my future lol.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mr Cajun & was absolutely blown away by the quality & flavor of their seafood. From the moment I arrived, the aroma of perfectly seasoned Cajun spices filled the air, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. I ordered both the shrimp & mussels, & each bite was a celebration of fresh, succulent seafood cooked to perfection. The shrimp were plump & juicy, with just the right amount of heat & seasoning, while the mussels were tender & brimming with a rich, garlicky broth that had me savoring every last drop.
What truly elevated the experience was the exceptional service provided by Oumaima. She greeted me with a warm smile, took the time to explain the menu's specialties, & made thoughtful recommendations based on my taste preferences. Throughout the meal, Oumaima checked in regularly, ensuring my water glass was never empty & that I was fully enjoying each dish. Her genuine enthusiasm for the cuisine & attentive, friendly demeanor made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer.
Overall, Mr Cajun's seafood offerings-especially the shrimp & mussels-were top-notch, & Oumaima's outstanding service made the evening even more memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving authentic, flavorful Cajun seafood, & I'll definitely be returning soon. Kudos to the entire team at Mr Cajun, & a special shoutout to Oumaima for making my visit exceptional!
Our table of three took the small ocean. It wasn't enough so we added an order of shrimp & mussels. The sauce was really good the medium spice we went for was just right for us. The next time we go as three people we would probably go for the small family.
Ordered from Uber Eats & it slapped. First when you see it, you see that it is well seasoned & then the flavor is really good to back it up. I had shrimp & fries at another restaurant in town & Mr Cajun put them to shame haha - even through delivery. Portion is ok as it will fill you up. & price is ok at CAD 25.

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff who immediately made us feel at home. The atmosphere is vibrant & welcoming, perfect for both casual meals & special occasions. We started with a variety of appetizers, including the perfectly seasoned crab cakes & the freshest oysters we've ever had. Each dish was a delightful introduction to what was to come. For the main course, we indulged in an array of seafood options. The crawfish boil was a crowd favorite, bursting with flavor & cooked to perfection. The shrimp & lobster dishes were equally impressive, with generous portions & exquisite seasoning that highlighted the freshness of the seafood. What stood out the most was the impeccable service. Our waiter was attentive & knowledgeable, ensuring that our glasses were always full & our needs were met promptly. The staff's enthusiasm & passion for their cuisine truly enhanced our dining experience. MR CAJUN is a gem for seafood lovers. Whether you're craving a hearty seafood boil or a refined lobster dish, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. We left with full stomachs & happy hearts, already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!
My wife & I are from East Tennessee, & we were vacationing in Montreal for a few days. We were staying about half a block from Mr. Cajun, & after walking past it a few times, I decided to try it for lunch while the girls went out. I had never had a crawfish boil, or really any authentic Cajun food, but had always wanted to try it. I decided on the shrimp & crawfish boil, & I was not disappointed! The food was cooked to perfection, & the Cajun seasoning was something I wish I could bottle & put on everything we make at home. 😂 The server was extraordinarily friendly. Even though I do not speak French, he made me feel welcome by genuinely smiling & spoke in English to make me comfortable the whole time. We are having a great time in Montreal, & I definitely don't think this will be my last stop at Mr. Cajun!
People giving this restaurant a five stars have never eaten real seafood. The food is ok, but it's mostly made of tasteless shrimps with garlic sauce. The fish & & ships is good but super salty. I don't understand the hype.

An expensive version of Captain Boil with shrimps that looks very average. Overpriced. Quality ok. Slow service when you get there & no one come to see you. Crab. Cake was made of some mystery meat.
Went there with some friends for the first time & we came out with a satisfied FULL stomach!!! The food is good, the service is top notch & friendly. The boss even came to ask for our feedbacks & see where they can improve the food quality! We ordered the small ocean + fried calamari + small shrimps + 2 rice = 4 happy "definitely returning customers"
I decided to try this restaurant out for my birthday & I was very happy, amazing staff super nice...the Cajun sauce & lemon pepper sauce was amazing, food was great cooked perfect & good portions....Went at 7pm & we didn't have to wait for a table very happy. Congratulations on the new establishment. (2 Petit ocean plates/ one crab plate one shrimp plate) Second time it was just as good as the first, will always be my favourite spot. Make reservations before going.

Fun concept , great presentation & food was good. We got the bucket for two but the meat in crab & lobster was almost negligible. I also got the unlimited shrimps & they were awesome... enjoyed eating hands
