Loved the rustic Old Port atmosphere & the wait staff was professional & absolutely wonderful. We were a large group & it was made clear in a friendly & professional manner that there's an automatic gratuity added due to the size of our walk-in party. We were easily accommodated despite it being lunchtime.
The food however...
My only personal issue was the quality of smoke meat on the poutine. It was akin to overcooked minced meat & nothing like MTL smoke meat one would expect (especially for the price). The poutine sauce was as expected, cheese the perfect squeaky-curds & melted. The fries were decent too. Crispy, not the greasy spoon fast food you get from LBP.
I would return for a standard poutine next time maybe but am still quite disappointed with my smoke meat experience :(
Party of 4, we all had a different poutine & they were good size portions, the bad is the prices for the no alcohol juice cocktails, at $9 for a small glass is extreme. Especially when half that small glass is ice.
The Montréal smoke meat poutine was very very salty.
We had outdoor seating that was beautiful.

No vegan option for poutine on the menu, the gravy contains gluten, not all waiters were able to inform us about allergens & there was no way to look it up, it took 3 people to bring us a QR code to the menu, there was lint in the drink of my partner, I received a different beer than ordered, there was a piece of cheese in my'vegan' poutine, I did not receive onions on my poutine even though it was ordered.
Nous avons pris une Pountine au boeuf & une salade César + 3 bouteille d'eau pour environ 64$ (soit 41,12€).
C'était bon, & vu la taille de la Poutine, nous avons eu raison de prendre une Poutine pour 2 personnes
A chill spot for a meal we had. Québécois pub grub & local beer & cocktails with a surrounded open air courtyard. Located in Old Montreal, tourist pricing, it was not my first choice, but the one located near Jacques-Square had no hydro that afternoon (a normal for too much A/C pumping through establishments on that path)
We ordered the classic poutine with smoked meat platter to share, & to say we had both Montréal iconic dishes during touristy visit.
Portion was decent, service ok ... just have to dive into & stuff face with these comfort foods. Indulge & must eat guilt free since this platter alone is 1000 calories minimum.
Superbe terrasse en cour arrière privé d'un bâtiment historique. Elle est enserrée entre les mur des édifices adjacents. Possibilité de manger au second étage à l'intérieur. Les poutines sont de très bonnes portions. La sauce est bonne. Par contre j'aurais aimé que le hamburger ait une sauce maison.
The poutine was amazingggg! Fries were super crispy but soft, gravy was a little sweet which was really nice, & the cheese was just chefs kiss. Would recommend

La poutine était très bonne, le cadre sympa & le service aussi.
Dommage qu'il faille acheter une bouteille d'eau de 50cl à 4 $ pour boire un verre d'eau...d'autant plus qu'on avait pris une consommation chacun avant

Pour le positif :
Les plats sont bien garnis & c'est correct pour le goût mais on trouve facilement meilleur ailleurs.
En négatif :
Le seul restaurant qui n'apporte pas de l'eau en arrivant & qui refuse de servir de l'eau en carafe. Pour avoir de l'eau il faut prendre une bouteille de 50cl a 4$. Le service est en dessous des autres restaurant que j'ai déjà pu faire dans la même rue .
Même si on mange en terrasse intérieur le cadre est plutôt froid.
La salade était bonne mais bon quand c'était écrit une salade de légume & dans l'assiette il y avait de la salade , des morceaux de de tomates & poivrons & c'est tout. Le tout noyé dans la sauce .
La sauce de la poutine est moyenne.
Pour terminer que l'on soit deux ou quatre la table fait la même taille . & quand on demande si on peut rapprocher 2 tables de deux la réponse est non .
Pas de wifi & pour voir la carte il faut scanner le QR code.
On a vu des groupes de 4 partir car il ne restait que des tables de deux mais le serveur ne voulait pas bouger les tables . En gros il préfère avoir des tables de 2 vides plutôt que d'accepter 4 personnes & bouger les tables. Je ne recommande pas de restaurant , & je conseille plutôt d'aller au jardin Nelson qui est juste à côté & le cadre est superbe

Tried the poutine which was good. The sauce was excellent. Fries were ok. But overall one of the better poutines I have had in the city. Also tried the smoke meat platter. Smoke meat was ok. Nothing special. I think what bothered us the most is the WATERED DOWN sangria. $35 for pitcher that has so little actual alcohol. Made it feel like a tourist trap & we live in Montreal. We wouldn't go back.
Service was efficient. Tables are soooo small for 4 people it's ridiculous. Not comfortable to sit, eat & enjoy.
Overall, pretty good. Portion sizes were decent which is to be expected considering it's $18 just for a regular poutine. One thing to note: they don't offer tap water, we had to buy a bottle of water which always leaves a bad impression for me personally. Costs nothing to offer tap water.
Poutine was good, not overly salty. The service could be better. Although there were several staff, & all were pleasant, none were attentive. It took quite some time for us to finally get the bill, & only after one of us got up to directly ask for it.
My family were in a rush, we had a layover of one day in Montreal & really wanted to try poutine. the restaurant was very busy, but our waitress Kamili accommodated us very quickly & with amazing service, with the halal recommendations . The poutine was a delicious. We will love to return when we have more time.
