Food was amazing. We did all you can eat & everything was great. We especially liked the bulgogi beef & ribs. The swicy fried chicken was also delicious. The waiter's service was especially great, as he was quick with the food & very polite. We went on a Monday night so I'm not sure who exactly it was, but I'd like to give him credit for his work. The restaurant itself was nice & the grill was very easy to use. Overall one of the best restaurants we've been to in Montreal.
This is a great place for unlimited bbq with some nice quality meat.
Unfortunately, it seemed they were short staffed, & it took pretty long to get other items in a timely manner. Not a complete deal breaker, just something we saw on our visit.
I'd advice getting there early for dinner to get ahead of the crowds as it does get busy.
I am sorry, this is not the place for BKKQ. The beef ribs were so hard to chew I gave up. A Korean place that didn't have gochujang is not it either. My boys who normally eat alot in KBBQ lost interest after a few bites. We have been spoiled living in Western Washington where there is a big community of Koreans. & we traveled all over US trying KBBQs & we visted the heart of Korea - Seoul. Even in Wichita, Kansas has far better BKKQ.
Unfortunately, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had.
My boyfriend & I waited more than TWO HOURS for our food. Several items we ordered were unavailable, but nobody told us, so we spent all that time waiting for food that was never going to arrive. Had we been informed, we simply would have ordered something else.
I repeatedly told the staff that I am vegetarian. Despite this, I ordered onion rings & was served fried calamari instead. Because I trusted that my dietary restriction had been understood, I ate some before realizing what it was. This was extremely upsetting &, in my opinion, much more serious than a simple order mistake.
In the end, after more than two hours, I basically ate salad, mushrooms, a few vegetables & a very small amount of tofu. Several things we ordered never arrived at all. Considering the price, this is completely unacceptable.
My boyfriend also waited the full two hours & had items that never arrived, yet he was still charged FULL PRICE & received no compensation.
The communication was also terrible. Our waitress said she would bring the manager to our table, but the manager never came. I eventually had to get up & find the manager myself & repeatedly ask staff for the situation to be resolved.
I eventually received a discount, but considering that I was served calamari after repeatedly saying I was vegetarian, barely received an actual meal, waited over two hours, & my boyfriend paid full price despite missing items, I do not feel the compensation was adequate.
I understand that restaurants can be busy & mistakes happen, but this was not one mistake - it was a complete failure of communication & service from beginning to end. I genuinely hope management takes this seriously.
