My husband & I placed an order on the phone for pieces of fried chicken. We usually order from the one in Solar, but since it was closed today we had to order at this one. We usually get 12 pieces of thighs with the sauce on the side. The guy on the phone was confused when I said I wanted thighs in French (cuisse) at first & proceeded to tell me'on fait juste drumstick ou thighs'. The phone call was pretty weird & confusing he kept saying we can, we can't… I said that thighs was what I wanted & in the end he said okay we can do that. I just figured that he didn't know what thighs was in French. He said it would take 20 mins.
We got there 20 mins later & he told us it would take another 5 mins which I was fine with. Then it turned into 10 mins which was weird because there was only two tables with two people in the whole restaurant… regardless we just waited.
40 mins after we ordered so 20 mins after we got to the restaurant, they tell us our order is ready. My husband saw on the screen to pay that it was written wings. It was not the same guy who took our order so we decided to open to see what they put inside. Firstly the pieces were tiny not worth the price at all & not like Solar. There was a mix of drumstick & wings with maybe one thigh. I spot the guy who took our order (he told us it was him when we first stepped in) & tell him that's not what we ordered. He told me'oui j'ai dit ail au téléphone.' I answered that ail is garlic not wings. He said oups well in that case we can't do thighs. My husband said that it's not what we ordered on the phone & for the price we're not paying for those tiny pieces of chicken. He looked at us with no solution to offer & we left. Will never be going back to that location. I will stick to the solar one. Very disappointed in the service & the size of the food.
We have been ordering from this restaurant for years. I've given them a couple chances this year hoping it's just been a bad day but something definitely has changed. The sweet & spicy fried chicken used to be the best thing on the menu, now it's inedible. The sauce is now super thick & so goey it has a stretch when spooning it onto my plate, the texture & taste is off & it's way too sweet. What happened! :(
Korean pancakes, it must be deep fried because it look at the amount of tissue I used for the oil. Really unacceptable....& wth🤦?♂?
The spicy pork/or chicken, my gods i can eat vindaloo Budak no problem. But jesus christ, this resteraunt made it so spicy my hands were shaking after one bite (5 table spoon of cyanne pepper ?), I know it's 3 stars spicy, but really no taste, just spicy ?? I think it's comparable to da bomb in spiciness.
Do not recommend it. Just cook at home you can make better korean food.
Also, fried chicken has no salt or taste.
It used to be better.
Okay experience, food is average at best. The staff is very friendly. They don't bring all the food you order. French Fries are really good. Ice cream is really good too. Dumpling are very bad… Egg rolls were not good either. Fried chicken was not that good either. I would go there only to eat A LOT of food since it's 40$+tax. Also sushis are not good. Overall, a less than optimal experience
A very authentic Korean cuisine. Quite a generous amount of food for the price. The crispy fried chicken is flavourful & the breading is not too thick. The tteokbokki was just ok, could've used some more seasoning. The service takes a long time, but you can always eat the nice banchan in the meantime.
Probably once of the best kimchi fried rice I've had. Great tasting flavor & the meat so tender. The wonton soup, though is a different story. Tastes & looks dull so didnt bother include a picture.

Decided to order from here as I normally do & overall have good experience with to my surprise when I opened up my box of chicken I discovered maybe 2-3 decent pieces & the rest were just pieces of fried dough. I went to the place to ask for a replacement & they claimed that it was perfectly fine & they would not replace it. I'm not at all satisfied with the customer service & come on a bunch of crumbs & fried dough. For 39.99 they should make it better.
The fried chicken is amazing here. I personally recommand the Mala & garlic soy sauces. Never disappointed
This was probably the most authentic korean food i've had on the south shore, maybe even Montreal. We had the garlic & soy fried chicken wich was tender & flavorful. We also had the beef hot pot soup & the noodle were so good! everything came with a side of rice kimchi, wakame & some sort of marinated radish i think? & the kimchi was better than any store bought. we also had some rice cake, wich was good, not too spicy. Everything was given in big portion & for all we had, it really wasn't so expensive.
