via LibroWe very much enjoyed our dinner, even if the service was a bit disjointed at times. Mostly it was very good. The flavors were all good, value was fine, mostly the meal was a good experience. My problem was overnight when I had food poisoning. The only difference in what I ate & what my wife at was the slaw, which she did not touch, & I ate a lot of.
via LibroThis is our first visit since your reopening. We found the service to be outstanding & the atmosphere very pleasant. My wife enjoyed the chicken but remembers the old version cut into small crisp pieces. That was excellent. The rib steak was a bit chewy but very tasty. Overall, it was a lovely evening.

via LibroA+++....After a long slumber, Moishes has reemerged & is once again the best steakhouse in Montreal. While some of the charm of The Main may be gone, the sleek & luxurious new room is like something out of Manhattan or London. The dry-aged rib steak was "melt in your mouth" good. The been tartare with quail eggs was a welcome surprise. The prices are also "not bad" (& certainly cheaper than Jacobs) for the quality of the beef on your plate. To their credit, there any many reasonably priced plats principals for those who are not carnivores. This is a very welcome addition to the Montreal restaurant scene & I salute the entrepreneurs who are bold enough to make this happen!
via LibroService was wonderful, food was great, lovely ambiance. If I could make one suggestion, it's to make the plates a little more appealing with some rice/veggies on it. I got the shish kebab, which was delicious, but in the old location it used to come with rice & some veggies. Now it's just a shish kebab on a plate. Delicious, but missing a little something, especially for those of us who frequented the old location & experienced the old menu.

This restaurant is excellent & very much worthy of a 5-star rating. HOWEVER... anyone expecting to be returning to the Moishes they once knew will likely be disappointed to know that there is very little culinary resemblance to the original Moishes. I was disappointed for the changes. The steaks no longer have the signature flavour of the original. They're prepared very differently (e.g their filet mignon comes bone-in). Still delicious, but very much different. The menu selections are not quite the same. Fries are different. Even the bread is different. It's unfortunate that they did away with all of what made Moishes an excellent restaurant as a lot of people in Montreal have very fond memories of it. Not sure who made that decision & why, but whatever. Ultimately, if you're going to change the offerings that much, best not use the original branding.
That being said, the food was definitely excellent, portions generous, service was excellent, decor, etc. Not the same ambiance of the old one, but top notch nonetheless.
Btw, $23 for valet parking. Lord knows why considering what you'll be spending by the end of the night.View more

One of the best steakhouses & fish restaurants in the world! The bronzino fish was cooked perfectly with amazingly crispy skin & the ribeye was fantastic also! Legos & playdoh are given to kids which is a great idea to keep them busy. I highly recommend it! 👌View more

This was our 4th time visiting the restaurant since it opened. Last nights experience was awful.
We sat at the bar, as we normally do, didnt receive the coleslaw pickles etc..until after our appetizers arrived. Our main meal wasn't served until two hours after having arrived. We sat with dirty dishes until we piled them ourselves & the manager cleared them when walking by. We were not offered second beverages - had to try to get someone's attention to order more drinks. We again waited for our main meal dishes to be cleared & instead, decided to get up & get the bill. Our server was clearly overworked. The people sitting next to us who arrived well after us. were finished their meal before we received our main meal.
We had hoped to be offered to order coffee & dessert as we normally do, but we're so infuriated by the lack of attention we received, we got up & left with our dirty dishes at the table. The counter bar was also filthy where others had eaten.
Disappointed is an understatement & unacceptable for an establishment of this caliber.
I will say, the food was very good- as usual but we had a terrible experience.

The restaurant is beautiful. The decor elegant & trendy. Food was wonderful & portions were BIG. Highly recommend. Pricey but worth it

via LibroEverything was fantastic & was the first time at the new location & was a regular at the old location. It is hard to transfer atmosphere from one place to another. The new location will develop it's own atmosphere over time. Bottom line is that the food & the service were top notch & did not lose a step if you are comparing to the old location. I have to say that the Monte Carlo potatoes are better at the new place . I am loyal to Moishé's & would still highly recommend. Thanks for saving this Montreal institution.
