Milestones is widely celebrated for its vibrant and cozy atmosphere, making it a popular choice for families, celebrations, and pre-event dining near Place Bell. Guests consistently praise the extensive and delicious menu, with particular highlights including the Wham Bam Shrimp, Portobello Chicken, and their signature peach Bellinis. While experiences can vary, the overall sentiment regarding the staff is overwhelmingly positive, with many visitors highlighting the professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness of the service team. I've visited this location a few different times, & while I wanted to give it a fair chance, my experiences have been inconsistent.
Dinner/Lunch Experience:
The food itself was generally goodd, around a 7.5/10 - but the service is consistently very slow, even when the restaurant isn't busy. On each visit, there were maybe 2-4 tables occupied, yet orders still took longer than expected. There were also repeated errors, such as wrong or missing drinks or items. The staff were polite, but organization & attention to detail clearly need improvement.
Brunch Experience:
Unfortunately, brunch was a completely different story & not a good one. My group waited 45 minutes for our food, despite the restaurant being almost empty. Midway through the wait, our server came back to say one of the dishes couldn't be prepared as ordered because of an ingredient issue. The confusing part is that the menu didn't even list that ingredient. After some back-&-forth between the waiter, manager, & chef, we were told the menu was right after all, we don't need to change it.
By the time our meals finally arrived, they were disappointing; either bland, watery or way too salty. None of the three guests enjoyed their food. Based on that experience, I'd rate the brunch 3/10 & honestly wouldn't recommend it.
Overall:
Food (Lunch/Dinner): 7.5/10
Food (Brunch): 3/10
Service Speed: 4/10
Milestones Laval has potential, their regular menu is decent but the inconsistency in service & food quality, especially at brunch, makes it hard to recommend without major improvements.
Je ne peux pas me plaindre du service. L'ambiance était bien! Mais j'ai commandé une surlonge saignante & on ne me bernera pas, c'était de la bavette. La sauce était un peu liquide mais goûteuse. Frites très salées mais on aime ça.
We came here for a friend's birthday but were underwhelmed by the food. The service was friendly & attentive, & the ambiance was elegant, which we appreciated. However, the food itself was disappointing. We ordered the 1989 Burger & the Roasted Mushroom Soup. The burger was dry, while both the fries & the soup were over-seasoned & too salty for the palate. We hope the restaurant takes this as constructive feedback to improve the quality & balance of flavours, so as to offer customers a more consistent dining experience across all touchpoints.
We walked in at 7:30 & just left (8:04pm)
Our waiter couldn't be bothered to
We ordered cocktails & an appetizer
I asked for a napkin 3 times & he never remembered
So we asked another waiter for the bill & left
He was too busy socializing with the barmaid to look after his customers
So went elsewhere for service & dinne
