Kimio Nguyen, the chef-owner, now has under his wing a wonderful team of over 40 loyal and attentive professionals whose culinary philosophy is based on Japanese tradition while taking into account the eclectic tastes of Montrealers. Three basic elements underpin Mikado's philosophy: creativity, simplicity and balance. Creativity to dazzle with original dishes; simplicity to allow for the experience of full unadulterated flavours; and balance to beautifully bring together tastes, textures, ingredients and colours. Mikado reste l'un des meilleurs restaurants de Montréal au fil des années. Les nouvelles rénovations sont extrêmement bien réalisées, & la créativité ainsi que la fraîcheur du menu sont impeccables. Le personnel est attentif & extrêmement serviable.
J'étais très septique avant le repas mais j'avais tord. C'était l'une de mes meilleures expériences culinaires à Montréal, avec un service génial & de très bons mocktails. À mon avis ça en vaut & le prix & le détour !
Situé sur la rue Laurier, Mikado est un restaurant de sushis assez populaire dans le quartier. L'endroit est effectivement joli avec sa décoration épurée, feutrée & classique. Les sushis étaient bons mais loin d'être à un niveau exquis en comparaison à d'autres restaurants. Robster rolls
Magnifique endroit pour savourer des sushis de qualités. Le restaurant est bien décoré , faites attention au stationnement avec la folie des pistes cyclables qui longent la rue. Le service était moyen considérant le prix à payer. Le serveur a ramené une bouteille de vin & il a disparu après. J'ai bien aimé mon expérience , mais le service doit être amélioré!
Elegant & organic atmosphere after their recent renovation. Kind & attentive service by William. Tasty & beautifully presented sushi. It had been many years since I've been to this restaurant & I plan to return soon.

Overall it's a beautiful restaurant but I have to say that the food is really average at best & not great at the worst . The miso soup for me always sets the tone for Japanese fare & this was near tasteless . The rest of the meal was very similar unfortunately . I wanted to love it since the ambience & design of the atmosphere is so beautiful but I won't return.

Nous avons suivi les recommandations du propriétaire, Tin, & nous n'avons pas été déçus ! L'atmosphère est chaleureuse & accueillante, ce qui en fait l'endroit idéal pour un repas décontracté ou une occasion spéciale. J'ai hâte d'y retourner pour découvrir d'autres plats de la carte.
