I keep seeing people call this a metal/punk bar, but I didn't actually notice that when I visited. I think they were playing some metal & I guess some people were dressed in light-punk style but it didn't make itself obvious as a punk themed bar to me. Which I suppose is better since it makes it more inviting to people in general while still providing that niche for the punk/metal community. The beer selection is great, the bartender was really cool & was happy to let me try samples. Pricing is very fair too. This is an excellent microbrewery whether you are a punk/metalhead or not.
I enjoy their beer. My wife also loves it. We just visited the place last weekend & enjoyed some beautiful drinks in the sun. It was a good experience. I haven't tried any food, but I will maybe come next time & try some snacks as well. I've heard good things. The people are great.
Beer at room temperature-this place feels like a trap. The music isn't loud at all, by any measure, & yet you can't decipher the answers you're looking for about the beers on the menu-the servants barely open their mouths, & the atmosphere feels like a movie set where cockroaches have been transformed into humans.
very much my kind of microbrewery.
From the moment we stepped in, it was clear this wasn't your average polite-little-microbrewery situation.
The place is also a little metal-themed. Dark aesthetic, solid soundtrack that actually fits the vibe instead of the usual'safe brewery playlist.' Points for authenticity.
They seem dedicated to the art of serious beer.
It leans mostly towards German-inspired. If you like hops that actually taste like hops, you'll be happy here. We really loved the Rauchbier (literally'smoked beer') that was our favourite. But every one we tried was well-crafted.
But the real highlight of the night was our server, Alexis-quite possibly the nicest, most genuinely polite person we've encountered in a brewery setting. Friendly, attentive, & somehow maintaining impeccable manners in a room full of metal vibes & high-ABV beverages. A rare & admirable combination.
In fact, I enjoyed the place so much that I did what any responsible adult does after a couple excellent beers: I bought a T-shirt. 😂 (it's pretty cool)
Even if you're not the world's biggest beer enthusiast, this spot is still a fantastic place to spend an hour or two with friends. Great atmosphere & plenty to enjoy whether you're dissecting hop profiles or just along for the ride.
Highly recommended🤘
Good beer, & amazing beer naming scheme (from metal to Sword & Sorcery), friendly service & excellent music. What else do you need?
