Menthe & Couscous: A restaurant with a warm decor & atmosphere in Montreal! Menthe & Couscous offers gourmet cuisine from North Africa, traditional Tunisian & Moroccan dishes in particular, where authentic culinary customs are applied. Specialties consist of lamb, chicken, merguez sausage or royal couscous's, finely spiced, letting the taste of vegetables and the delicious flavor of semolina virgin olive oil stand out. Grills are also part of the restaurant's menu where you will discover authentic and delicious dishes made with fresh & high quality produces. You will have the occasion to discover Tunisian salads that are rich in color & flavor. They are fresh & perfumed, perfect for the Summer, but can be savored any time of the year. The brick is an essential classic of North African cooking. We prepare it as a hot appetizer for a feast or as a light meal. Infinite versions exist for this typical dish. Fresh mint is almost omnipresent in North Africa. Nothing beats mint tea to transport you to Maghreb. Your taste buds and nostrils will be delighted with its intoxicating perfume, while the sound of the pouring liquid charms your hearing. via LibroSimply excellent. Vegetables & meat are so fresh & tasty. I took the lamb Tajine with the dried fruits & was an exquisite plate. The chicken Tajine with olives & pickled lemon was a very good choice too. Service was attentive & friendly. Nice music & ambiance too. My friends & I will return back soon.

I went with my family & visiting relatives to Menthe & Couscous & had a wonderful time. This is a true "Ma & Pop" operation & its unpretentious food & atmosphere surpassed many professional restaurants. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed & friendly while the food was hearty & delicious. The portions were huge! Next time I'm the Quartiers Latin in Montreal, I'll definitely go again.

We were a group & we took the group menu. All you can eat with all appetizers & salads served on table to share, large plates of couscous with lamb meatballs, merguez & chicken tajines. Very good choice & different dishes with different taste. We enjoyed the belly dance show & it was a fun evening. Highly recommended & will come back soon.

Excellent ambiance, great appetizers & wine dip, we took the Tajine lamb & the couscous royal & they were a very good choice with fresh ingredients. Highly recommended.
via LibroDécevant: une entrée qui goûte le Realamon plutôt que le vrai jus de citron, trop d'olives dans les plats & des haricots congelés dans le couscous aux légumes. Quelques plats étaient OK: les fatma, la salade mechouia & le couscous royal.

One of the best discoveries I've had. The food is so fresh served in lovely plates.
The lamb couscous is an amazing plate. My friend tried the lamb tajine & it was a really a very good choice.
Another friend took the tajine seafood, it was generous served with olive & lemon, he liked it so much too.
We dined & wined in a nice atmosphere, with eclectic decor & candle light.
Highly recommended for small gathering & groups. Definitely will return back & will recommend it to all our friends.

J'ai commandé une assiette de fruits de mer. J'ai eu une assiette avec quelque palourde & deux morceaux de calmar, beaucoup de légumes trop cuit dans un jus de poissons trop salé. Ma conjointe a commandé un couscous à l'agneau. Elle a reçue une assiette bien remplie de couscous avec légumes trop cuit & un jarret d'agneau pas assez cuit donc très coriace. Deux fois plus d'os que de viande. Très déçu, nous n'y retournerons pas.

C'etait un de mes meilleurs resto experiences a Montreal, Samedi dernier etait l'anniversaire de ma copine, on etait un groupe de 22 personnes, on a pris le menu de volonté pour juste $30 chacun, le bouffe etait exceptionnel surtout le tajine, il y avait aussi un spectacle oriental avec une danseuse tres drole, tout le monde a dansé jusqu'a 2h le matin , l'atmosphere etait incroyable , la music, le decor, & les quantité des plats, vraiment je vais repeter cette experience tres souvent
