Menthe & Couscous: A restaurant with a warm decor & atmosphere in Montreal! Menthe & Couscous offers gourmet cuisine from North Africa, traditional Tunisian & Moroccan dishes in particular, where authentic culinary customs are applied. Specialties consist of lamb, chicken, merguez sausage or royal couscous's, finely spiced, letting the taste of vegetables and the delicious flavor of semolina virgin olive oil stand out. Grills are also part of the restaurant's menu where you will discover authentic and delicious dishes made with fresh & high quality produces. You will have the occasion to discover Tunisian salads that are rich in color & flavor. They are fresh & perfumed, perfect for the Summer, but can be savored any time of the year. The brick is an essential classic of North African cooking. We prepare it as a hot appetizer for a feast or as a light meal. Infinite versions exist for this typical dish. Fresh mint is almost omnipresent in North Africa. Nothing beats mint tea to transport you to Maghreb. Your taste buds and nostrils will be delighted with its intoxicating perfume, while the sound of the pouring liquid charms your hearing. I went there for my friend's birthday party. We had a special menu for groups where you get to try everything in the menu. Excellent choice. Food was so fresh & flavorful.
Their grilled vegetables dip is really good, also their lamb meatballs were cooked to perfection presented in large plates to share with couscous & vegetables.
The waitress was very nice & friendly, music selection was really good a bit of new & a bit of old mix from different countries around the world (mainly middle eastern countries music). We had the belly dance show entertainment as a surprise for our friend & it was really very good.
A place you must go to when you are in Montreal.

Délicieux, bonne nourriture, copieux & belle ambiance, décor envoûtant le personnel est très gentil & attentionnée & service hors pair.

Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant. On a eu un service très mauvais & lent alors que nous étions 5 dans le restaurant.. Si vous voulez manger une bonne tajine, n’allez pas là : la viande est sèche.. & n’a pas vraiment de goût. Vraiment déçu !

Cuisine "comme à la maison", nourriture copieuse & ingrédients de qualité, mais rien de particulièrement remarquable. L'entrée de doigts de Fatma était plutôt bien, par contre j'ai mangé des tajines beaucoup plus aromatiques & savoureuses préparées par des amis marocains. .. cela dit, ce resto a le mérite de servir de la "vraie bouffe" à prix très raisonnable, & en plus on peut y apportez son vin.

Excellent, excellent, excellent. Everything was perfect. Food was so delicious, lamb was so tender it literally melts in the mouth, service was very attentive & friendly, music was romantic & enchanting & decor makes you travel out of Montreal. Really one of my best dinner evening with my friends. We all enjoyed our meal, & chatting while there was background music that is not loud which allowed us to talk without shouting to be able to hear each others.
I highly recommend this restaurant

Nous avons réservé chez Menthe & Couscous à l'heure du souper pour un groupe d'une vingtaine de personnes. Tout le monde a adoré. La nourriture était délicieuse & nous avons apprécié l'ambiance du restaurant. Notre groupe était plus nombreux que prévu, mais ils ont été capables de nous accommoder. Bonne nourriture & bon service, je recommande fortement ce restaurant!

Decor is very nice, with colorful chandeliers that reflect colorful shades on the walls. The music they play is tantalizing & matches the ambiance. We felt like travelling out of Montreal.

The chicken Tajine with olives & pickled lemon was a very good choice too. Service was attentive & friendly. Nice music & ambiance too. My friends & I will return back soon.
