Review Summary

Mémo is widely regarded as an intimate and charming culinary destination in Montreal, frequently praised for its creative and well-executed tasting menus that offer a memorable journey of flavors. Many guests appreciate the personal touch provided by the staff and the chef, who often engages directly with diners to share the stories behind the dishes. While the vast majority of visitors highlight the excellent quality of the food, the thoughtful wine pairings, and the cozy atmosphere, opinions remain divided regarding the pace of service and consistency across all courses. Despite a few reports of varying experiences, the restaurant is frequently described as a hidden gem that delivers high-quality gastronomy at a reasonable price, making it a highly recommended spot for those seeking a unique and refined dining experience.

The whole restaurant is basically run by one chef, so the food comes out quite slowly. It's not expensive, but guys might find the portions a bit small. The sauces & seasonings are excellent, though the ingredients themselves are pretty ordinary. Not sure if they change the menu often, but this time it was just okay. Since it's in the Old Port downtown, the place is small & the seats are quite tight - but the atmosphere is super cozy & perfect for chatting.

One of my fave restaurants after trying so many. The waitress asked us what our preferences are for food & they made a menu while making sure there aren't any of the ingredients we're not fans of. Everything was delicious but I was most impressed by the duck.

The chef personally came to introduce every dish to us with a cute interesting story. The service was excellent & they wrote a little card for birthday wishes.

The restaurant is very small but it was very cozy & comfortable.
