This tucked away gem on Rue Peel was a definite highlight of my trip to Montreal. While I wouldn't consider this an authentic Irish pub, the important elements exist (e.g. Guinness, Kilkenny, & Jameson Triple Triple). The true standout at this bar are the bartenders. As you will see in the photos, I was warmly greeted my first visit by Sidney & Ricardo/Rico, aka'Les Toxic Twins', haha! Rico recommended the Butter Chicken pizza, which is something that I have never seen in the USA. You cannot go wrong with this suggestion - flavorful, with just the right kick of spice. You will need a fork & knife, as the ingredients on top outweigh the tasty dough & crust.

On my second visit, the fantastic bartender Greg & his wonderful support team made my last night in Montreal a night to remember. Do yourself a favor & drop on in for a cheeky pint, some excellent pub grub, & top notch service. Sliante!

We stopped into McLean's Pub because my fiancé loves a good Irish pub, & even though it was a random, quiet afternoon, it ended up being such a memorable stop.

We ended up chatting with our bartender, Angie, & she was truly the best. We had just gotten engaged the day before, & she went out of her way to celebrate with us, she even wrote us a handwritten list of her favorite local recommendations. We had a few amazing dinners thanks to her list!

She made us feel so welcomed & genuinely excited, & it ended up being one of the first places we got to celebrate our engagement. Such a special experience thanks to her.

Good Irish pub. Food is ok & ambience as well. Veggie burger was quite good & they have a big selection of beer & alcohols. Nice little terrace at the front. The server , Katrina, outstanding 5/5 !

As someone that is Irish, from Boston & has been to an authentic Irish pub this restaurant utterly confused me. McLeans claims to be an Irish pub but one look at the menu told me different. No Irish staples like bangers & mash, Shepard's pie, corned beef, lamb, etc. Just average pub food. A little disappointing to eat at on St Pattys Day. On a positive note the food came out very quick & staff was friendly, had plenty of screens to watch games & met other customers & had very friendly conversations with them. Decent place to grab pub food before hockey games - just not Irish pub food

Real old school Irish pub. Feels like you went back 50 years in time. Food is real pub food as in Ireland & prices are good

Cool pub. Has kind of an Irish pub feel. Server was great.

Pretty decent selection of beers which seems to be unusual in Montréal for some reason. For example, multiple IPAs whereas a lot of places seem to have just a couple. & often, the servers don't seem to know much about the beers. In Mcleans' case, the server was knowledgeable.

Really liked the fish & chips. Mainly the fish part. Chips were ok.

Doesn't look like much from the street but decent inside.

Prices were competitive with what I've seen elsewhere.

Price for three IPAs, fish & chips & a small pizza was about $70 US.

You gotta go & look into the men's restroom downstairs. The urinals are made from old beer kegs. Something to see. Surprisingly functional. Ladies, the men's room is down the hall past the women's restroom. Be careful. The door was wide open & you could get quite a view.

Another Irish pub visit on our Montreal excursion.. great atmosphere cold beer & quick service at the bar . That's the trick sit at the bar get quick service. Food was mediocre at best but your in a Irish pub. Beer made it better . They serve some massive beer towels a seen by the picture here. Good place check it out ☘?🤙

Best Irish pub in Montréal. Had the honour to visit this lovely gem of a pub in the middle of January this year. Wonderful staff & a really cosy bar with welcoming regulars. A special shout out to the bar lady Kristy who made you feel like a regular the moment you sat down on the barstool!

Short review, environment was good definitely reminded me of an Irish Pub. Food was okay, the fries were good but the rest of the food was probably average, wasn't necessarily bad. The bathroom was in the basement & was not the cleanest.
