I'm Korean. I ate fried chicken, tteokbokki, bibimbap, & soft tofu stew there today. But only the fried chicken was delicious. I feel like I wasted my money.
Great chicken, super service. Owner cares alot about the experience & it shows.
We love to take the fried chicken combo & replace the rice for japchae. The cream onion sauce changed from what it used to be & it's even better! The pork bone soup is one meal we love during the winter season.
The service is great & the workers there are very kind :)
The food is amazingggggg🤤
Their chicken is so juicy & tender, must must try
Their Dak-Galbi spicy chicken bbq special is the way to go! Always consistent in portion/quality. Service is great & staff very welcoming. 5 stars!
Really tasty food, quick & nice service, we had fried chicken, bibimbap & other thins & it was al delicious, for a very reasonable price. I'll definitely go back to this place
Delicious! If you like trying foods you may not have had before this is the place to go! Korean style foods served fresh & hot. I had the beef bibimbap & it was truly delicious. The price is a bit higher than you might expect for Asian food, but the quality is there. Also try Korean Fried Chicken, it's amazing!
They have the best korean fried chicken ever! Juicy, crispy, & well seasoned fried chicken that awakens the glutton that lies within. I highly recommend their creamy onion fried chicken! The sauce is absolutely divine. I could put their creamy onion sauce on anything if they sold it in a bottle! They also do two types of fried chicken specials: boneless & bone-in chicken that comes with a soda of choice, fries/rice (respectfully), salad, fried dumplings & japchae (korean glass noodles). Their gamjatang is very delicious as well! It's full of meat & they give you a nice dipping sauce that pairs well with the pork. I also like that the rice comes fresh in a hot steel pot. Overall, it is one of my favourite korean restaurants to eat at. Honestly their prices are extremely reasonable & the portions are very generous. The food is delicious & the korean auntie who is the waitress there is always very sweet. Give Matjip a try, you won't regret it!
fried chicken is cool im such a sad gluttonous creature, was still hungry after devouring all the chicken.
I ordered on doordash with high expectations. The tteokboki tasted horrible - it was watery & had a gross aftertaste of saffron. The snow cheese chicken was overly sugary & not coated with enough powder. The seasoning was stuck like paste to the bottom of the box & the chicken was dry. Very disappointed as I love korean food. This was probably the worst korean food I have ever tried. Will not be ordering again.
Food was subpar. The chicken was not crispy, & the sweet & spicy sauce was not the right type of sweetness & spice. I would rather walk down to Matjip instead. They have wayyyy better chicken & more reasonable prices for what you actually get.
The Wang Galbi-flavor chicken was really delicious. While I was eating, the waitresses were so kind & offered great service, which was very pleasant.
Came here for dinner with a friend. I enjoyed my food, we got some Korean fried chicken sweet & spicy, it was delicious! We then had bibimbap! I love the presentation. I thought our bibimbap took longer than expected but I saw they had a lot of take out food to prepare. I enjoyed this place, will be coming again !
I had the fried chicken, which was good, but some of the pieces were mostly gristle & bone. The nice pieces were good though. My wife very much enjoyed the miso soup & my kids liked the ramen & dumplings. The place was cold. AC seemed to be on, even though it was not that warm out in early May. The food too a long time to come. In fact, we ordered beer as well but they only brought that out at the same time as the food. So we sat there for around 30 minutes without the beer being brought out. Also, it seemed like the wait staff also work in the kitchen. I think service would improve if they had people who do nothing but serve tables. Lastly note about servers, there is no point wearing latex gloves if you NEVER take them off! They touch everything with the gloves on, cash register, plates, receipts, cleaning cloths.... never took the gloves off. Overall, I'll try this place again to see if we have a better experience next time. It was decent overall, but I have a feeling I didn't get their best this first time.
They're super busy, once they got your order it's not a long wait for the food to come, we love the boneless fried chicken combo it very generous portions including fries , 2 fried veggies dumpling , japchae & 3 different sauces ( my favourite were garlic soy & onion cream) everything was delicious
