My son & I went to Masala Art for the second time last week. That's the first time I noticed how many Indian people frequent this place. Th food is excellent & I took some Lamb Korma, very mild, home for my wife, together with the remains of our supper, to eat the following night. She enjoyed the mild spiciness & said that it wasn't too hot. Accompanied by Naan & Rice, this made a good second day. They have a full bar too, with a selection of bottled beer & wine. No draft beer yet! The place is large enough to house our Friday night group of 12 people, so one of these Fridays we will be back! The room is fairly bare & poor atmosphere & that's my only complaint. The food is the highlight!
One of the best Indian restaurants on Montreal island. Not only is the food delicious but the quantity is amazing for the price. So many places these days have increased their prices while reducing quantity & quality both! Glad that this restaurant is not one of them. I am a vegetarian & love their Dal Makhani, Saag & Paneer Tikka Masala! The Onion Pakoras were fresh & delicious as well. I have visited this place 4 times in the last 2 months, & that too when I don't have a car while living far away in downtown Montréal. I went using Communauto each time which would tell you how good their food is!
I'm shocked at all these 5 star reviews. The food was just ok but overpriced for what you get. Nothing included in their meals. You have to order everything separately. The service though was absolutely terrible. Rude & unclean appearance. Stood behind the bar & stared at us the entire time. Was really weird. Unfortunately will not go back. 🙁
I should start by saying I came here a few times before but did not stay since the wait was too long but today..... We started with Dehli chat which is Dehli street food & it set the tone for the rest. There were 4 different types of food on the half portion & all very delicious. It was perfect for 2 people. Then we had Masala Art Dalh, an eggplant dish, & Lamb Vindaloo with rice & Naan. I now understand why it is so popular. Everything was done so well that even though the Vindaloo was not as spicy as I normally would like, the taste more than made up for it. We of course ended up with leftovers which means we can enjoy the rest tomorrow. Definitely recommended.

Wow, what a great discovery. Their monos ( spicy indochinese dumplings out of this world) everything fresh & tasty. Decor a little tired ( like most Indian restaurants but worth the visit!
Hands down, the best Indian restaurant in Montreal!! Food quality & food presentation was top notch. Best Momos I have ever had in my life, loved every bite of it. We also order the Tandoori Paneer Tikka & Soya Chaap, it was super yummy. Properly marinated & soft with enough spices. I got a feeling of a fine dine restaurant. In the main course, we ordered Veg Biryani (best I have ever had), Dal Makhni (yummiest), Kofta & Mushroom Jalfarezi (best main course curry) with Lachha Parantha (fresh) & Tandoori Roti. Everyone loved the food as it was rich in flavour & tasty. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you're in Montreal area. I would definitely visit again whenever I'll visit Montreal. Owners are very nice & friendly people. The owner is also the main chef of the restaurant. Customer service was 5 stars as well. The restaurant was clean & hygienic. I saw pictures of the owner in the restaurant & he was a chef in Taj Palace, New Delhi & at some Indian restaurant in Russia. We all were truly impressed by the quality & presentation of food. Thank you for the great food & letting us sit & order food during your break. We especially came from Toronto to visit our friends in Montreal & visiting your restaurant was the key moment of our trip.
Service is fantastic, people are very kind with the requests. Food was amazing, we like mom's & chicken soup. & the bar is also available in this place. All around it was a good dine-in.
We recently dined at this Indian restaurant, & the experience was truly delightful. The ambiance was warm & inviting, & the service was impeccable. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the 'Roomali Roti,' in the past which was simply amazing. However, it's disappointing to hear that it's no longer on the menu. Nevertheless, the other dishes we tried were equally delicious, showcasing the chef's talent & dedication to authentic flavors. I hope they bring back the Roomali Roti in the future, but even without it, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit for a fantastic Indian culinary experience🥰
