I recently had the pleasure of dinning at this fine establishment. From the hostess' warm glow to the chef's savoir faire, everything was impeccable. Our server Rodrigo was the highlight of meal. He took us on a culinary journey through his recommendations, attention to detail & his unique brand of humour. My better half is shall we say'difficult' & she was also blown away. We had the lobster burrata( a must try), beef tartare, the best stuffed zucchini flowers I've ever had & the Taglioni topped with caviar. All the wines we had were fantastic & well curated. Overall it was a stupendous experience & one of the best meals I've had in a long time. 11/10 on all accounts . Ask for Rodrigo!

Most places in the Old Port are tourist traps. Mare is a GEM among these. It is aesthetically perfect. The service is incredible - so professional, polished, poised & welcoming. The food is very yummy & very fairly priced especially when compared to the overpriced meals you'll find scattered around the Old Port. My piece of advice for any of you visiting the Old Port, choose Mare & have a meal you will enjoy every aspect of. Thank you so much to Bruno & Bass for their wonderful service & the rest of the staff as well. I cannot wait to come back.
Atmosphere is nice, quite & calm, good for a date or small group meetings. Service is good, just don't follow food advices. However food is disappointing, tastes doesn't combine in the plate, presentation is not bad but when you come to real Italian taste, I must say it is well below average.
The service is excellent, although sometimes slow. The maître d' is pleasant & friendly

I'm still buzzing from the most incredible dining experience at Mare! This restaurant absolutely blew my mind - every bite was a celebration of extraordinary Italian cuisine. We went for the chef's choice tasting menu & it was pure magic: bold flavors, stunning presentations, & dishes so delicious they left us speechless. Honestly, everything we tried was outstanding, but four plates stood out as my absolute favorites (check the attached photos - those are the ones that stole the show!).
Beyond the food, the atmosphere is elegant, luxurious, & wonderfully peaceful-perfect for enjoying every course without feeling rushed. The interior design is stunning, & the service deserves special recognition. Every member of the team was genuinely attentive, knowledgeable, & made us feel truly welcomed throughout the evening.
We originally had an event planned at another spot, but somehow ended up here by mistake… & honestly, it felt like pure destiny!
Top tier service & first class traditional Italian food. Pasta is homemade & you can taste was made with love. Ambience & service can't get better than Mare!
