This place was truly spectacular. Went for an anniversary dinner & everything from the greeting at the door to the last morsel of dessert was outstanding. The Branzino tartare & the chocolate tart are a must try!
Service impeccable! C'est exactement à ça qu'on s'attend quand on choisit d'aller dans un bon restaurant. Honnêtement, je finissais une gorgée d'eau & mon verre était déjà rempli de nouveau. Les assiettes étaient débarrassées rapidement, les petites attentions étaient constantes & discrètes. Tout était fluide & professionnel. Franchement, c'était très bon service du début à la fin.
S'ils continuent dans cette direction, ils vont assurément recevoir d'excellentes notes, car l'expérience fut à la hauteur des attentes. Bravo à toute l'équipe! 👏

Very expensive, & poor food quality. Everything (filet mignon, pasta, etc) was way too salty, barely edible. The tuna tartare appetizer was good but barely three bites. The place is nice though & service professional.
Really phenomenal. High quality food. Amazing service. Waiters so transparent about what would be enough food for two. We Left & already made new reservations to bring friends. Really a truly fantastic experience.
From being greeted by lovely Georgia at the door to being served the most delicious meal by wonderful waiting staff, I LOVED this restaurant. The ambiance, the cocktail, the amuse bouche, the foccacia, the pasta - everything was fantastic! If I lived in Montreal I'd dine there on a regular basis! A+ ! Merci beaucoup!

The service truly stood out above everything else. Every detail was given such care, & the entire team was exceptionally professional. The food was also outstanding, & our waiter guided us beautifully throughout the evening. The restaurant itself is stunning - it perfectly blends a trendy, modern look with Old Port charm & subtle Italian touches. Overall, it was an excellent experience, so much so that we immediately booked to return the following weekend with friends.

I went to the restaurant with my girlfriend, & we decided to try a tasting menu, which we really enjoy doing. It allows the chefs to showcase their skills, & we were able to fully enjoy the experience at the seafood bar. We were welcomed by Kenneth, who did an exceptional job: professional, talented, & attentive. The salads & dishes he served us were perfectly balanced & incredibly fresh. I highly recommend this place!
L'endroit est magnifique & le service parfait !!! Bons cocktails & belle carte des vins. Cependant la nourriture, plus particulièrement le poisson entier, était décevant. La fraîcheur & manière de cuire laissait à désirer. C'était caoutchouteux & sans gout. A ce prix, il faut que ce soit irréprochable. Surtout que les poissons frais sont mis de l'avant. La gérance a compenser ce que nous avons grandement apprécié. Une fois mieux rodé (le resto est nouveau), ça devrait faire une différence. On y retournerait probablement mais pas tout de suite.

We went there for dinner & we were unfortunately disappointed by the food. The stuffed zucchini flower had a gelatine consistency almost like a jello shrimp flavour which we really didn't like. The plate of seafood to share was just okay, the presentation was disappointing for a plate at 120$, I expected more garnish with herbs, lemon, etc. The lobster bisque pasta was not bad but it was not great, I expected the pasta to be al dente for an Italian restaurant. As for the dessert, we usually are big on that & they only had 4 choices that looked sad so we ended up not taking anything. We will unfortunately not come back

Mare delivered delicious dishes, with an attentive staff & top-quality ingredients. The Focaccia was unforgettable: crisp at the edges, soft & airy at the center. Easily one of the best ones I've had in Montreal. Our personal favourites dishes were the Branzino Crudo - a fantastic white fish crudo with pistachio for crunch, a touch of chile, & creamy ricotta & the Tagliolini - a rich, velvety pasta enriched by aged Parmigiano & caviar. The Polpo was cooked beautifully, though the accompanying potatoes didn't quite elevate the dish & were a bit under-seasoned.
Overall, it was a fantastic evening. The service alone would make me return.
Speciali gli antipasti: la frittura mista e il polipo. Super le linguine all astice. Il servizio impeccabile. Addirittura Lo chef Giovanni è passato a salutarci. In fine buono pure l'amaro diel sig. Minucci.
