Many reviews about Marché Méli-Mélo note generous portions and bold Creole flavors, with griot, chicken with rice, plantain and pikliz, and accra drawing frequent praise and catering cited as a plus for events. Some diners report smooth ordering and fast pickup or delivery, while others share frustration about missing items and a reluctance to provide proper takeout packaging, plus a service tone described as chilly. Service speed is praised by some and criticized by others as cold or inattentive, which affects the overall experience. Prices appear slightly high, but portions are often considered to justify the cost, with suggestions to include more vegetables on the plate. Overall guests express a strong willingness to return and recommend the spot for Haitian or Creole cuisine in Montreal, while many also hope for warmer customer care and more consistent, welcoming service.
Ouff je sais pas. C'est comme si javais jete 40$ pour 2 plats à la poubelle.. sincèrement, prochaine fois je vais réfléchir 20 fois avant d'acheter la bouffe là-bas.
One of the best Haitian restaurant in Montreal . The griot , rice, & mostly the Akras are always on top ! I am not a fan of the plantains. I feel like they can be crispier. But other than that it's a very very very good restaurant/ market .
Been coming here since i was a kid, since i dont live in the area & decided to passby , took a griot & asked no grease! Still got some grease & gave it to my dog, & sadly some hard rice in the rice & small macaroni portion ! Overall still good

Meilleur resto fast food haïtien! Ça fait plus de 20ans que j'y vais. On part de Lasalle pour s'y rendre. Tout est super bon! Acras, griot poulet en sauce. Service très bien aussi !
That should be your first Haitian restaurant if you want to try Sticky Rice & Griot. The Djondjon Rice on the weekend is solid. Really generous with portion size, so you have the option of having leftover or eat it all & get hit by the ITIS... Choose wisely!

This is by far the best Haitian Caribbean restaurant in Montreal. The meats whether it's pork griot or chicken has flavour & is tender. The same for their rice which has lots of flavour . They are generous with portions . They are consistent with the service. You don't go wrong with them . Other Haitian restaurants the meat is hard to chew their rice lack spices won't name them & lack consistency. Meli Melo never disappointed me all through the years.
This has to be one of the best haitian food restaurants I've ever been too. 5 stars all the way. The flavors are amazing & its always fresh. I've been going there for years & I love them. Sometimes there's a bit of a line up, so be prepared to wait, but It's worth it believe me :)
