The chicken was cooked to perfection-tender, flavorful, & well-seasoned. But what really stands out is the rice & peas. MATA has some of the best I've had in Creole cuisine, perfectly spiced & full of rich, savory flavor.
The griot & cabrit were equally impressive, offering a delicious balance of textures & flavors that hit the spot. & the pikliz? Simply the best I've tasted, adding the perfect kick to every bite.
A recent improvement I noticed is that the owner has been including more meat protein in their dishes, which has really enhanced the value & overall enjoyment of the meal.
If you're craving authentic Creole flavors, MATA is definitely the place to go. I'll be back for sure to enjoy more of their mouthwatering dishes!

Il est rafraîchissant de se rendre dans un restaurant où les portions sont justes & où l'on se sent satisfait sans payer trop cher. Chez MATA, le repas vaut vraiment chaque centime.
Le poulet était cuit à la perfection - tendre, savoureux & bien assaisonné. Mais ce qui ressort vraiment, c'est le riz & les petits pois. Le MATA propose des plats parmi les meilleurs de la cuisine créole, parfaitement épicés & riches en saveurs.
Le griot & le cabrit sont tout aussi impressionnants, offrant un délicieux équilibre de textures & de saveurs qui font mouche. & le pikliz ? Tout simplement les meilleurs que j'aie jamais goûtés, ajoutant le coup de fouet parfait à chaque bouchée.
Une amélioration récente que j'ai remarquée est que le propriétaire a inclus plus de protéines de viande dans ses plats, ce qui a vraiment augmenté la valeur & le plaisir global du repas.
Si vous avez envie de saveurs créoles authentiques, MATA est sans aucun doute l'endroit où aller. Je reviendrai à coup sûr pour déguster d'autres plats alléchants !
Je suis allé chercher un plat aujourd'hui le 21 décembre 2024. On m'avait dit que la viande était tendre là-bas mais je pensais pas à se point là! Service rapide, nourriture excellente!

The portions here are generous, & they don't add too much fat compared to other Haitian restaurants. This is authentic Haitian comfort food at its best, definitely the best in Terrebonne. The fact that this place has been in business for over 10 years speaks for itself.

Je suis vraiment déçu de la bouffe que j'ai reçu. Le macaroni ne goûtait pas bon & il n'était pas frais. Le griot était trop cuit & la dinde manquait de goût.

Je suis cliente depuis au moin 3 ans. La nourriture est bonne,malgré que ça m'est arrivé d'avoir certaines batchs de griot un peu trop sec mais avec la bonne communication, ils savent répondre à vos besoins. J'ai toujours été satisfaite & bien servi.
Marché Antillais Tet Ansam has been my go to restaurant/ bodega -corner store for delicious Haitian food in Terrebonne. For me a typical order is the large pork griot w plantain, pickliz Mac salad & riz colle. They do lalo on the weekends. Also available is all
your supplies, spices, rice seasonings &
specialty foods to cook up creole food at home. Prices are reasonable portions generous & food is downright delicious.
Les plans sont super bon & le service très rapide en semaine !!!! Mais j'ai appelé un samedi pour préparer une commande ....On m'a racrocher la ligne au nez & sa voulais plus répondre ! Ça fait environ 2 semaines ! J'ai trouvé ça vraiment dommage !
