Marathon Souvlaki in the Décarie district of Montreal, specializes in fresh, tender meat souvlakis. Marathon Souvlaki has also won an award for the best souvlaki by the Gazette. There are a choice between pork, lamb, chicken or even vegetarian souvlaki. Other dishes are also available at Marathon Souvlaki.
Overall, Marathon Souvlaki comes across as a reliable, family friendly Greek spot with fresh, flavorful food, generous portions, and friendly, efficient service at a fair price. The menu staples like gyros, souvlaki, pita dishes, and the marathon salad are repeatedly praised, with many noting fast service, easy parking, and a welcoming atmosphere. Some reviews mention moments of inconsistency in quality or portion sizes over the years, louder peak hours, and occasional takeout experiences that aren’t perfect, but the restaurant remains a popular go-to for casual Greek meals.
I normally eat at the one in laval but we came to this location this time. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very sweet & quick to get us anything we needed. The food was very good as always & although there was a huge line up,we got a table pretty fast. Great service & friendly people. You can't go wrong with marathon.
We went to Marathon to celebrate our fiends birthday & we weren't disappointed! Costa is a fabulous waiter & served us promptly despite it being packed as it was a Saturday night! The food was perfect! We as a group of 8 all received the food we had specified even our special requests were met! It was busy there but in a fun weekend way! Definitely go back sooner rather than later !

Wow the quality of this restaurant went downhill, quantities of food are bad for the price, at least for takeout. The receptionist misunderstood dressing on the side with'give me an extra dressing & charge me 3$ for it'
50 bucks for a gyro pita + a chicken plate with 2 chicken sticks + marathon salad. If my wife had seen the quantity of food & the poor quality of what they called a salad, she would have never gave a 5$ tip for takeout.
I do not recommend , at least for takeout. Go buy yourself some greek food litterally anywhere else & you will be more satisfied. Felt like we were just scammed 20$ for the amount of food.
Un incontournable dans le quartier. Par contre très déçus qu'il ne donne plus de tzatziki dans leur plat pour emporter. Il faut payer un extra maintenant.
We came in with only 30 minutes left & the waiters were very considerate & efficient, we got to order & receive our meals quickly.
The portions are generous & the prices are reasonable for what you get. The souvlaki pork gyro was incredible, the meat was juicy & full of taste. I noticed that you could also order food to go at the counter, there were many different sizes of containers to choose from. Definitely a nice place to go to if you're nearby.
