Review Summary

Man'oushé - Lahmajoun & Manakish earns broad praise for authentic Lebanese flavors, with the dough described as perfect and toppings fresh and generous. Many reviews call the offerings delicious and consistently well prepared, from lahmajoun to manakish with zaatar or cheese, and some note the free tea and other classic Lebanese drinks as welcome extras. The atmosphere is repeatedly described as clean, welcoming, and the service friendly and attentive, with portions generous and prices affordable. A few comments mention small drawbacks, such as tomato manakish using tomato paste instead of fresh tomatoes, and one note that some dishes feel more like a pizza place than a traditional manouche oven, but these are in the minority. Overall, the sentiment is that this spot delivers authentic, well crafted flavors that feel like home and that many would consider among the best in Montreal, inviting repeat visits.

Top manoushe bakery! My husband & I are regulars & come from Blainville to get a lahmajoun & zaatar/cheese manoushe to start our day off. Delicious & authentic! The staff is amazing, kind & the service is fast! We LOVE this place! If you come on a quiet day, there are window seats available.

On a visit to a friend in Saint Rose, I stumbled upon a small bakery selling manakeesh, lahme b'ajeen, & other pastries.
I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness of the place & the friendly, well-kept staff. My friend & I ordered two spinach pies, a dish I've tried at countless other bakeries without ever being truly satisfied.
When they handed us our order, I noticed the pies were cold & hadn't been reheated. Still, I didn't object & ate mine with great appetite. The pie was absolutely delicious-large, golden, crispy, & savory. To top it off, we got to enjoy a complimentary cup of tea.
My friend & I decided to wait for an hour or so before giving our final verdict. The reason? We suspected the same common shortcut: using citric acid instead of a natural souring agent. While this is a common practice for businesses, it can be harsh on a sensitive stomach, often causing heartburn.
The better option would be for the bakery to avoid it entirely & use a natural, readily available acid. After all, the customer is paying for quality.
