Nicely decorated small resto that has offers several salad options & you can opt to pick your own ingredients. Our salad was fresh but had a bit too much dressing so next time I will ask for it on the side. I felt it was a bit light on the chicken, but I can order extra next time. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace.
I absolutely love Mandy's & this is my favourite location because the food is always fresh & the staff are the SWEETEST! My favs are the habibi salad & the Wolfe salad with chicken. Highly recommend :)
The new chicken ceasar salad is so disappointing, especially for the price. I was looking forward to a salad that was on par with the Jules Ceasar, which used to have kale & romaine, capers, crispy parm, pita chips, Parmesan petals, & proper thick bacon. INSTEAD I was disappointed to find out it was replaced with a sad, plain romaine salad that was under-dressed & had only chicken, a little parm & some Panko crumbs (panko crumbs!!??). For the price, I expect more.

I eat out a lot. When I feel bad about eating unhealthy, I finally pull the trigger & order from Mandy's. On the website I built my own salad for takeout. Nothing special: mixed greens, cucumber, tomato, feta, chickpeas, pita chips, chicken, marinated onions, Kalamata… $30. I've been programmed to accept expensive salads, but this is getting out of hand. Fine, I remove feta & pita chips - btw charging $2.75 for pita chips is criminal. You can get a whole bag for like $1.29 at Adonis. Whatever, I remove tomato & cucumber too because I have that at home. I'll make my own chips. Now it's $20. I get home. Salad looks decent, what you'd expect from Mandy's. Portion is okay. I asked for dressing on the side; good thing, because it was terrible. What happened to the quality of this olive oil? It went from decent to bitter low grade. The bowl was a bit small so I transferred it to another one. Lo & behold, that's when I saw disgusting lettuce. Old, slimy, soggy lettuce. Unacceptable. The whole point of paying $20 is that you expect fresh salad, not this slop. Sure, it was only around 10 leaves, but still unacceptable. I end up inspecting every leaf for slime & rewashing a few. That's exactly what I pay extra to avoid. How is this okay? Huge staff, huge marketing budget, & you can't guarantee fresh salad? This is the second time this happens, so I decided to write a review. Last time I told myself it was a one-off, but now I'm the sucker for going back. Don't make the same mistake.
Great look & feel but no bacon available on one salad so they offered extra chicken but then completely forgot the chicken , also no fried onions for the other salad . Member behind counter said well give extra other stuff as this happened last week
I got the Habibi Salad with extra chicken, pomegranate, & Kalamata olives. Worth trying. I'd suggest asking for more dressing, one isn't quite enough. Chicken pieces were a bit big, but overall solid. Thanks.
My girlfriend had her heart set on some shoe shopping & a visit to a'salad place' in downtown Montreal. I went along for the ride, not expecting much-after all, I had poutine on the brain, not greens. But after a chilly afternoon running around the city with her, even I had to admit I was starting to get hungry.
We ended up at Mandy's, & while I didn't think I'd find anything that fit my very carnivorous preferences, a mushroom soup on the menu caught my eye. When I found out I could add chicken, that sealed the deal. I also grabbed a natural soda that, to my surprise, wasn't packed with corn syrup like most of what we get back home in the States.
The soup was absolutely delicious-rich, hearty, & warming in a way I wasn't expecting from a place known for salads. My girlfriend's salad, on the other hand, was massive-fresh, loaded with toppings, & so big she had to take half of it back to the hotel.
The staff were super friendly, & while the interior was fairly standard, we had no trouble finding a seat & enjoying our meal.
In the end, it was a culinary win I didn't see coming. I'd definitely go back-with or without my girlfriend dragging me in.
Pretty good salad. Not digging the new wooden forks though. :(
EDIT:
What happened to Mandys? The chicken doesnt even taste like chicken anymore.. They got rid of the Caesar salad to be replaced by Julius Caesar & you have to pay extra for the Egg. I used to eat here every week & now its more like once a month & the price keeps going up up up.
