New wave bubble tea shop that serves eleven types of cold tea lattes, pretty desserts (see this matcha sponge cake, with raspberry mousse, mango and raspberry purée, and matcha crumble), and a variety of stylish brunch and lunch plates, from eggs Benedict with bacon candy and Chinese sausage bits, to a chic croissanwich.
Overall, MajesThé Bistro Bar comes across as a warm, lively Taiwanese Asian fusion spot with a wide menu that shines on baos, karaage chicken, udon, curry and braised pork, offering generous portions, fair prices and fresh, craveable flavors. The vibe is friendly with attentive service and a crowd that enjoys pre night out outings, karaoke on weekends and inventive cocktails and bubble tea drinks, and the team is praised for accommodating dietary needs with advance planning. Many reviews note reliable, quick service and a cozy atmosphere even when space is compact or in a basement, though a few mention a colder or darker ambiance and occasional missteps like overcooked or reheated dishes. The new location is anticipated with enthusiasm and improvements, and overall this spot is valued for its variety, value, and memorable experiences, including great live music and a welcoming atmosphere.
We went with a group of friends on January 2nd, when the lobby was empty. Vibe was immaculate. Lighting was romantic. Tall tables had hooks for our clothes, The signature curry omurice's portion was very generous. & by spicy option, they mean it. Our waiter, Lis, was good at their job & even helped us take group photos. We were all very happy & full at the end.
We got lost, it's inside down the stairs & down another set of stairs. There's street parking. Friendly staff, nice service. It's a small place with some table & a bar. We only order drinks. We didn't get to enjoy the food but we will try again another day.

We were told after arriving for a 7 pm reservation that live music would start at 8 & we would have to buy additional drinks if we wanted to stay. I would not have made the reservation if I had known beforehand.
Best restaurant I've ever been to in Montréal! Staff was amazing, food was even better. Vibes were immaculate, great place to get together with friends.
10/10 amazing classy establishment with delicious food at a VERY affordable price. The ambience is perfect for a date night or for a group get-together, as they had live jazz music on the Saturday that we went which was a surprise! Happy to have gone with my group of friends! Drinks were top notch, food was tasty, & service was extremely attentive. We were served by Brandon & Tristan & they were simply the best. Would recommend!
We enjoyed our first visit to the restaurant. I personally love the concept, the ambiance & the food. I would definitely come back & would recommend your restaurant.
Not sure if they even have Tofu Curry Omurice or not but the two times I order from this place, I've gotten Chicken twice. Once on UberEats, & once for takeout. Somebody needs to get it together. Dined in once & it was so loud I could not even talk to the person across from me.
The food was pretty good, & the vibes are excellent. The prices are reasonable & too! Enjoyed the meal overall, however I wish the service was a bit better. We had to wait a while to get water, & waited a long time for server to come by for us to ask for the bill
Great service & good food. Perhaps the singing band wasn't the best choice for the restaurant, cause it was too loud & unpleasant for conversation (shouting throughout).
No longer the go-to for Taiwanese Fusion. Been pretty loyal since the original bistro opened over a decade ago. They served amazing & innovative food when it started. A serious contender for Taiwanese Asian Fusion in Montreal. I secretly felt guilty consistently choosing them over others for Taiwanese, but their quality was incomparably good. After the first move, favourite items were removed & overall service, quality dipped a bit, especially ambiance dropped due to lack of interior design & plastic furniture. But that's okay.. it's hard to scale quality & they still rocked food & some of their best dishes kept me going back. I always wondered if the owner changed but I never asked. Fast forward after the pandemic & with their third move to take over the space of their former downstairs neighbour (Atti), the ambiance improved thanks to inheriting Atti's dark decor, although it's very loud now. Unfortunately some improvement in ambiance came with a proportionally inverse trade off with quality & service. My waitress this summer called a sous-vide egg soft boiled, so I was surprised when it showed up. I explained to her those are two noticeably different styles of preparing egg. Her reason for not describing it properly was because'most customers don't actually know what it is'. Her attitude wasn't outrageously rude, but it subtly felt like she didn't want to be there, at least not at our table. I could forgive that because most people understand temporary jobs, & she was young & probably new & busy managing different tables. However, common sense says it was subpar service, plus it was a slight insult to my food knowledge, & an indication of how far the ball has dropped since the original bistro first started. The manager was smart about it when I suggested him to better train staff on the knowledge of their menu. As an apology they remade the main dish & took an appetizer off the bill (I was told the beef skewers would not be spicy, but there was a decent amount of chili on the marinade). I still left a normal 15% tip & waited till months later to write this review so it's not easily tied to any date/names. But these days I hesitate to return & lament for the amazing bistro it once was. It's now a trendy Asian 5-7 spot, & that's fine to draw in new crowds for the bar aspect, but they lost sight of what the bistro aspect should focus on .. good food, & turned their back on long-term loyal customers.
